For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Good evening everyone! True, this is a little different than usual. Normally I do my posts in the morning, or afternoon perhaps, but not in the evening. Except for my story series which is nearly always in the evening. However, not this evening. I am still working on the beginning of the next story. Sometimes that first chapter is the hardest one to write. Making sure I get things lined up just right to get the story going in the right direction. It’s not there yet. I kind of feel that way myself sometimes. Sigh.
This morning I was supposed to have a minor medical assessment, but due to a minor problem occurring (which basically was my fault), this assessment had to be postponed until tomorrow morning. Sigh. These things happen.

All of these nice winter scenes are from 3 years ago.
On another note, it seems there is this new feature available where I can use my phone on my laptop. After thinking about it for a few days, I decided to give it a try. Then came the setup for such an adventure. Well, actually, the setup was the adventure. I finally decided to give up. I like the idea, but when I call someone, our voices are just some kind of guttural nonsense. Yet when I do a test of the mic and speakers for this phone setup, the sound quality is great. So, why doesn’t it work in actual practice? No idea. If all else fails, go online and look for a solution. After spending hours looking, I finally decided there is no solution. Sigh.

Speaking of hours looking. I bought a new plant for my collection on Monday while out shopping. On the pot it said “sansevieria”. That didn’t tell me much. So, I decided to search online to find out which sansevieria variety it is, since I knew there were several. I checked through more than 200 varieties and still didn’t find the one I bought. Either mine is so common it’s not worth talking about it online, or, it’s so rare that no one has heard of it. I’m thinking it’s probably the first one. Some of these varieties are so similar, that looking at the pictures side by side, I could not tell the difference between them. Sigh.

You have probably noticed something remarkable by now, and that is, I have not talked about the weather yet. That is something that is normally at the beginning of the post. I know you are all likely in shock by now, so, to alleviate those shock symptoms, I will talk about the weather, briefly, at this time. The temperature rose to 39F (4C) today, causing water to flow down the street as snow melted.
Then that changed very suddenly with the temperature dropping below freezing within minutes and causing all that water and soft snow to change to ice very quickly. Now a snowstorm is on the way for late tomorrow which should give us 10 to 14 inches (25 to 35cm) of snow, and possibly more. Speaking of…no, wait, I will leave that one for another time. I hope you all have a great week and God bless!
