The Investigators, Inc. The Haunted House Case. Chapter 12. Rescued.

Well, our girls had finally found a way into that secret room in the basement and underground out behind the house. They didn’t like what they saw and couldn’t believe it when they saw George, the father of one of the girls, was actually part of this criminal gang. But Jennifer took care of him, being careful not to kill him, we want to save him for prison. Jennifer called Rock and had him get the guys into the kitchen so Sky could bring the girls up to the living room.

The other girls had blankets ready to wrap around the rescued girls. Sky brought Shawna and her friend Layne upstairs right away, but the two girls were shocked by their trip! But Amerie and Suzette gently touched the girl’s necks with their rings, giving them a light dose of our sleeping drug. It will only keep them asleep for a short time and they won’t remember their amazing trip upstairs with Sky. Then Sky brought George upstairs and left him with the guys who kept him well restrained.

Then our girls went into the room where Shawna and Layne had come from to see if anyone else was in there. Sure enough Stefanie and another woman were in the room so Sky took them upstairs as well. This time Jackie was ready and put the other woman to sleep and they wrapped these two in blankets as well. Then Jennifer and the girls decided to go into the next room, but the steel door was locked, so Angel put her lion strength against the door, breaking it right off it’s hinges and knocking it flat onto the floor.

That startled the men in the other room so Misty, Dawn and Macy went to work on them right away. It didn’t take them long to subdue the five men in the room, plus the hired man who was in the video with Cathy and Acadia. Sky then quickly took the two girls up to the living room. Then the girls brought the men up to the attic, then downstairs to be restrained with George. Kat then went into the kitchen to talk with those men and asked them who it was that killed Alexine. No one said anything, they just sat on the floor where they had been put, after putting restraints on them and stared straight ahead.

“Won’t talk?” asked Kat. “We don’t turn on each other,” said Stanley. “Not even for your freedom?” she asked. “You mean that?” said Captain N. “Yes, tell me who killed her and I will let you go,” she said. “It was big mouth Stanley over there,” he replied. “If I didn’t have these restraints on,” said Stanley, “I would kill you too!” “Let that one go Mac,” said Kat and he took the restraints off Captain N. He just stood there for a moment looking, not sure if this was just a trap to kill him or not.

“Better leave quick before I change my mind,” said Kat. “She’ll have you shot once you’re out the door,” growled George. “Unlike you people,” said Kat, “I keep my word.” So Captain N quickly left out the front door and ran down the street. “Look lady,” said the hired man, named Marco, “I’m not part of this group, would you let me go?” “You were part of them downstairs,” said Kat. “I’m just hired to do a job,” he complained, “nothing more, you got no reason to hold me against my will.”

“You hurt my friends,” said Kat, “that gives me all the reason I need to hold you. Unless you would like me to release you and let my other friends out there kill you, which is what they want to do because of what you did.” Rock had stood the man on his feet for talking with Kat and she now stood in front of him, staring at him. Then she punched him in the stomach and then told Rock to put him back on the floor. “Hey, I can tell you where to find Phoenix,” he said, “if you let me go.” “Okay, deal, where is she?” asked Kat, “I also want to know where to find the other guys that worked here too.”

So, he gave her the address for Phoenix plus the other 2 guys that worked here. Kat began to walk away. “Hey, aren’t you gonna let me go?” he asked. “If I find Phoenix, you can go,” said Kat, “but if you sent me on some wild chase somewhere, then you won’t like what will happen to you. Rock, watch these guys closely.” Rock looked at the prisoners and smiled. “Dawn, take your girls and pick up this guy,” said Kat, “and Misty, take your girls and pick up this guy. No need to be gentle, just bring them back here.” “And you want me and my girls to come with you, right?” asked Sky.

“No,” said Kat, “your girls are needed here to look after the girls we just rescued and make sure nothing happens to them again.” Poor Sky slouched over with arms hanging down. “I said, ‘your girls’,” Kat reminded Sky, “I would like you to come with Jennifer and I, just in case we need help or need to leave in a hurry. Angel can stay here with your team and Carine will be in charge of things while we’re gone.” The three of them they got into one of the vans and off they went to the city in search of Phoenix.

The two guys Dawn and Misty were supposed to pick up both lived in town, so it didn’t take them long to track them down. Dawn and her team went to their address and knocked on the door, but no answer. Milena said she heard voices around back so that’s where they went and found a family gathering of some kind. “I’m looking for Brian Picket,” said Dawn loudly. “That’s me,” he said smiling, “what can I do for you ladies?” Only Dawn, Milena and Nakedra came around at first, but now the whole team showed up.

Dawn went onto the deck and kicked Brian and then told the girls to drag him away. “What’s going on here?!” exclaimed his wife. “Your husband has been involved in making illegal porn videos and is an accomplice in murder,” replied Dawn, then she turned and walked away. Then off they drove back to the haunted house. Misty and her team went to their address and the man they wanted answered the door. Misty then grabbed his arm and flipped him over her shoulder and he landed on the grass, kind of shook up. The girls then dragged him out to their van and off they drove to the haunted house.

It took Kat, Jennifer and Sky a little longer since they needed to drive off to the city in search of Phoenix. They also had Sherry with them doing the driving, with Fluffy doing the navigating and Kitty was along to protect Sherry and the van while the others were busy with Phoenix. Meanwhile…”Why did they let you go Captain N?” asked Phoenix. “I told them who killed their friend,” he replied, “the one lady said I could go free if I did.”

“And then they followed you right to my favorite house in the city,” she screamed, “you are an idiot! And useless, USELESS! Dan, watch for those Investigators! Buzzard, take this idiot out somewhere and come back without him!” Buzzard grabbed Captain N and took him out the door screaming that Phoenix was making a big mistake, and that she needed him. “Why can’t all men be like you Dr. Pointer?” she asked, “Captain N showed such promise too. Oh well, I can find more like him.”
