    • My PSW just left, someone new again, the first guy that has ever been here. Anyway, it’s been a rough day, I fell while showering this morning and I think I pulled every muscle in my back. Oddly it seemed to hurt my legs too, they are incredibly stiff. Sigh. 🙄

    • Yeah, but he’s definitely not as good as some of those ladies. He was too gentle, even though I told him he could press harder. Oh well. They’re making changes to this program and taking some of our best ladies and putting them in one of the other buildings.

      Liked by 1 person

    • Nope, for some reason the lady in charge of things, whose office is in the building next door, thinks this is a better way of doing things. The PSW’s don’t like it since they need to go back and forth between the buildings several times on each shift rather than staying in one building like before. Some of the women clients here don’t like the fact of having a man give them a shower or bath, but they will have to get used to it.

  1. That’s understandable. But, maybe it has to do with keeping everyone happy? Maybe the male assistants wanted this? Who knows what other factors could be going on. It stinks for you though. Just when you find some help that fits for you, you lose them.
We’re you able to get out for a walk today?

    Liked by 1 person

    • No, no walking today, just not up to it. It was nice, mainly cloudy with a few sunny breaks and a high of 50. Only a high of 32 for tomorrow and below freezing for Friday and Saturday. Plus there’s a winter storm advisory issued for us beginning tomorrow night. We may miss the snow though, but we will get the freezing rain, quite a bit actually.

    • Yep, around 7 or so. I need to be more careful, but that word isn’t in stupid Steve’s dictionary. Good thing there are grab bars or it would have been much worse.😬🛁

    • Yep, I do have an emergency button that I wear on my wrist like a watch so it’s always within reach. I would only use it if I can’t get up by myself. It takes about 12 minutes to get someone here because of the round about way it works. That’s during working hours, if outside of working hours they send an ambulance and that can take up to 45 minutes and I would have to pay for the ambulance.

    • Yep, that’s true, definitely better than nothing!😃
Well, that time of the day again, I’m actually looking forward to lying down, strange thing.😂 Have a great night Dusty, sleep well, and I will be back tomorrow with more exciting chatter!🤯🙄😴🌛

  3. Hi, I’m doing good. I’m afraid I’m gonna need to logoff for a while in a little bit. I need to go to Hobby Lobby to pickup some paint for my plane repair job. I’m trying to wait for the evening rush to pass so I don’t sit in traffic for a half hour to 5 miles.
Anyway, how was your day? No shower slips no stubbed toe on the table?

    Liked by 1 person

    • Day was okay, no serious problems, still managed to hurt my back though taking a small shelf unit apart. I didn’t need it and it was always getting in the way, so I took it apart to use the wood for something else later.

    • Freezing rain tonight and tomorrow morning with quite a bit of accumulation. Then snow in the afternoon, only about 2 inches though. Then it will be cold for a couple of days. Yep, more space for plants!

      Liked by 1 person

    • How strange, we don’t have that problem here.
Well, I must say that I must say that it’s time for bed again. Have a good night Dusty and I shall return tomorrow with more exciting news and chatter! 😃😴🌛

    • Good morning Dusty! 😃 That’s a lot of “ights” alright! Well, that storm missed us completely, which is good, all that ice would not have been fun. We did get a few snowflakes though. The high today was 26 and should be the same tomorrow and down to 15 tonight.😱

      Like

    • Chilly? It was down to 5 degrees with snow and blowing snow! Everything was white again this morning! Only supposed to go down to 12 tonight. It was 25 today and mostly sunny. No quilt, just a comforter!

    • My PSW just left. Rearranging some things so I can spread my plants out a bit more now that they are growing. I moved a small oak bookcase into my hall and put a small table by my chair for plants. I also did the church bulletin. After moving that bookcase, which is way too heavy for me to be moving anyway, I had to lie down for an hour.

      Liked by 1 person

    • It was a small bookcase, only 4 shelves, 4 feet high and 2 feet wide and weighs about 50 pounds. Well, that’s about 45 pounds more than I should be moving around. However, I did it in stages and rested between each time. Didn’t help much though. But it is much better this way. I was going to ask a fellow in here I know, but he is away for a few days. Another guy was too drunk. Sigh. Oh, had a new girl this morning and did she ever give a nice massage! Almost as good as another girl that has been off for the past month due to an injury.

      Liked by 1 person

    • She won’t be here much, maybe once a week. They have changed things here this past week. There are 2 seniors buildings next to each other, both had their own office and workers. Now they combined the offices in the other building and combined the workers too. So now in each shift they have to see people in both buildings and run back and forth between the two, which is crazy. It makes more work for the PSW’s and because they have actually added more staff, we get to see them less. Plus we are getting mostly the PSW’s from the other building now and they are not as good and some won’t do massages.

      Liked by 1 person

    • Yes, but we won’t see them as often. Over the past week only 2 of our regulars were here for a total of 4 of the 12 shifts. Some weeks we may see them more, but we never know who to expect now. Before we always knew who would be here each day. There is a man in the mix now too, he only worked the other building before and only saw men. Now he sees women too and some of the women clients here don’t want a man giving them a bath/shower, but they have no choice now. If he’s working they get him or they don’t get their shower/bath. And since they only get it twice a week anyway, it makes it hard for them.

      Liked by 1 person

  4. That’s understandable. I guess you need to see as them just doing their job, i guess. It doesn’t make it easier but I’m sure he probably isn’t to crazy about giving an old woman a bath either!😂
How are you doing emotionally these days?

    Liked by 1 person

    • Yeah, works both ways I guess. 🙄 Glad I can still do my own showers!
No problems that way, though I do have spring fever, but the weather just isn’t cooperating.😒

    • Yep, I’m practicing my bird appreciation dance. Flapping my arms and jumping around the apartment, tweeting and twittering! Ahem, I mean, I’m waiting in anticipation of the warm weather and arrival of the birds.😃

      Liked by 1 person

    • Hey, why do I have to be a little bird brained, why not a big bird brained? Sigh. Oh well.😂
Oh my, I’m late tonight. Must call it a night and get to bed. Have a good night Dusty, talk to you tomorrow!😃😴🌛

  5. As they come! That’s ok, I just walked in the door. I was visiting Bruce and another plane builder this afternoon.
It’s cold 🥶 here today also! 59 Degrees!! I had to wear jeans and a sweatshirt to keep from freezing! 🥶
I can only imagine what it’s like at the north pole where you live!

    • Yeah, that strong northwest wind is terrible still, but it was a bit warmer than yesterday, it was 14 this morning and it got up to 30, though it didn’t feel like it. Warming up until Wednesday, then back to cold again.🥶

    • How to reduce depression and live a fulfilled life. It was a good sermon. I have suffered from depression more than once in my life so could relate to what he said.

  6. As everyone most likely has and could use a sermon on the importance of achieving and maintaining mental health.
It’s important to keep the mind active along with the body ss much as possible.

    Liked by 1 person

    • Yep, it is important to keep both active and not just the body.
Sorry I have to cut this short tonight, but I’m just not feeling great. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. Have a good night Dusty and I shall be back with more exciting and/or boring chatter tomorrow!😃😴🌛

  7. Warmer today. Still on the cool side. Mid 70s.
I’m late. I was trying to get everything on my plane ready for tomorrow. I’m taking it to Bruce’s to rebalance it and make sure that’s still good. Then address the cause which was the engine. I think the carb just needs adjusting.🤞

    • A strong south wind arrived this morning and even though it started off cold and cloudy, by late this afternoon it was sunny and 55 degrees! Hope the engine problem is a simple fix.
I had a super rough day today, even had to cut my shopping trip short because the pain was so bad. My PSW checked on me 3 times this morning, she even had to help lift my legs onto the bed, so I could lie down, because I couldn’t do it. Then I had my evening check 45 minutes ago. I’m feeling a bit better, but still have to move around very slow and carefully. Haven’t had a day like this in a looong time.

  8. Well, moving that book case probably was a bit more than you should have done on your own.
It’s nice that they come to check on you more when you need it.

    • I don’t think it was the bookcase, that was on Saturday, things affect me faster than that. But sometimes it doesn’t take anything. I would have been better off not to even try shopping today, I could have waited until tomorrow. Oh well. Yes, they will do that when needed which is very nice.😊

    • Yeah, it has been a long time, glad to hear they are cleared up finally! I picked up a couple new plants today, one called “Summer”, now I will have summer year round, providing I can keep it alive. Then there is “Flapjack”, how could I resist something with a name like that? Then there is “Ripple Jade”, a cool, weird plant I have never seen before. But then, I have never seen Flapjack before either. 😃😂

    • I don’t have one, but there might be one. It’s actually hard to get much variety in this town. But it’s fun looking and maybe snag something rare. Well, I have been awake since 3:12am so must head to bed. Have a good night Dusty and I will talk again tomorrow!😃😴🌛

  9. Hi! 🥵
How are you? I’m sorry I’m late. I just got home again. Working late on the plane again…😒
I’m ready to be done fixing this thing… (note to self…)
    Don’t crash the plane!!

    • Still not so good. My back is getting better, but it’s slow, this is day 4 now. It’s the worst I’ve had in more than a year. I’m falling apart I think, though not often, gives me a headache!😂🙄

    • Not much, more relaxing, though I did have to go out for a medical appointment, pick up medication. Beautiful day, got up to 72 and sunny, actually felt like spring finally! So many birds are back now, the cold weather was holding them back and now they are coming in large numbers.

  10. Was it nice and warm again today? 40s 50s?warmer?? Maybe?
I slays enjoyed seeing them show up in the spring. They’re always so busy… you’d think they would be tired after all that flying… but i suppose they don’t have to go through screenings like we do.😂😂

    Liked by 1 person

    • The only time they go through screenings is when someone opens a window! Didn’t I just say the temperature? Are you getting forgetful? The robins are singing so nicely right now as it begins to get dark!😊🐦🌛

    • Oh well, I’m forgetful Steve, aka “Stupid Steve” at times.
Well, it’s late again and my back is complaining so I must sign off, but I shall return tomorrow. Have a good night Dusty!😃🌛😴

  11. No mermaids today! Just fine tuning the engine and figuring out which propeller works best on it. But, it’s ready to fly.
How’s about yous…? What did you do today?

    Liked by 1 person

    • This one sneaked in on me, sigh. Hey, sounds great. I put an extension on a table so I can spread my plants out a bit more. While doing that I knocked a plant down spreading dirt all over the place! Amazing how far it can spread. Sigh.🙄

      Liked by 1 person

    • Yep, it can’t just drop straight down and stay in one neat pile, it decided to go 4 feet in every direction! Hehehe!😂 Have trouble sitting after that did you?
