For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Hi again everyone! Here it is, another weekend and our first long weekend of the summer season. Normally it is warm by this time of the year, people are out at their cottages getting ready for the summer, fly in fishing camps are open for business and busy flying people and supplies into those camps. And this is the big start to the summer gardening season!
Local nurseries are packed with people buying plants for their gardens. Although this year is likely a bit different. It’s cold, much too cold for gardening, and people are holding off buying plants this year. There is a frost warning for tonight and this morning while I was looking out the window I saw something which looked like a snowflake. Then there were a few more.

Sweeping away the winter’s accumulation of dirt and sand from the sidewalk.
Then there were lots of them! They melted as they hit the ground, fortunately, but it only made it up to 43F (6C) today. That’s colder than it normally would be at night. Sigh. It has been a rather cold month, except for 3 or 4 days. Today’s photo is a bit different, but I just had to toss it in since it is part of May around here. Have a great weekend everyone and God bless!
