The Investigators, Inc. Part 2, The Mysterious Mr. Flynn. Chapter 5. Fun With Flynn.

Sky is presently looking around Mr. Flynn’s mansion to get a better idea of what the rooms look like, sizes and uses, information that could come in handy at a later date. She also wanted to check what the security was like, if there was any alarm system and how quickly the security guards responded when the alarm was tripped. She was quite impressed with their speed and thoroughness for checking around while looking for the would-be intruder. That third floor was sealed off immediately the alarm sounded so if anyone did get in during that short space of time, he would be trapped.

Of course, Donna might link this to the girls who came to take photos earlier, but that would be tough to prove. I mean, how could they possibly drop off anyone without that person being seen? All 5 girls that came in, also went out. Well, Sky came in too, but she was invisible so she could stay behind to check around. The other 5 girls likely had their photos taken while they were outside the car, but that’s a minor point. That was already factored into this little caper, they will just have to keep their distance from the rest of the team from now on. But there are other roles they can play.

And, they have their own room and have not associated themselves with the team at all and even checked in separately. Sky took photos of each room, some of the security guards and a new photo of Mr. Flynn (Donna). Then she had another idea, Mr. Flynn must have a safe in the house, possibly one that is very large. However, if it is large then it would most likely be in the basement. She did find 2 doors that likely lead to the basement, but both were locked. She could easily unlock them but that would likely set off the alarm again, still, it would be interesting to know.

However, she went back to Donna’s bedroom first and looked around for a smaller safe which might contain expensive jewelry. That is something that Donna would want to have easier access to, just in case she wanted to go out for a dinner engagement or something. She needed Mac for this one, he would be able to find that safe quickly enough, Sky thought to herself. That just made her more determined to find that safe to prove she could do it on her own. Or could she? Finally she looked at these buttons on one of the nightstands and pushed one which turned off the lights in the huge aquarium, so she turned them back on.

The next button made it sound like a gentle rain. She liked that one. Next was the sound of a waterfall, then a thunderstorm which she turned off quickly before someone heard it. The next button had a J on it so she pressed that one and a mirror raised up revealing a safe. Aha, she found it! Over she went and with a little electricity help it opened easily. There was quite a large amount of jewelry inside so Sky picked out a nice blue hand bag from the closet and filled it with as much jewelry as she could, then she disappeared, returning to the hotel.

She then showed Kat and Angel what she “found”. Donna was not impressed, someone had obviously broken into her house, had stolen some of her jewelry and managed to get away undetected! She also didn’t like finding her security guard outside her bedroom sitting on the floor, sleeping! Meanwhile, Kat scolded Sky for stealing the jewelry. “If it was stolen jewelry then it would be okay to take it,” said Kat, “but if Donna bought it legally, then we can’t take it.”

“But, maybe she used criminal money to buy the jewelry,” said Sky, “then it would be okay to steal it.” So, off she went and brought Alfred back to the hotel but nothing was stolen and there is no way to tell if she used clean money or criminal money. Sky sighed. However, Kat had an idea to start working on Donna to make her think she is going crazy. By the time Sky returned to Mr. Flynn’s mansion, she was in bed sleeping with the gentle rain sound in the background.

Sky turned it off and changed it to the thunderstorm, turning the volume up loud. That woke Donna quickly, then something fell on her stomach which caused her to scream. That brought the guards into the room and once the lights were on, Donna saw her jewelry was returned. That is what fell on her stomach. “That person is still in here!” she yelled, “Find him fast! I want two of you in here with me tonight as well, but don’t make any noise.” Nothing else happened that night and the security guards could find no one.

Even the dogs couldn’t find a scent of anyone in the house or outside. “I paid a lot of money for those dogs and they can’t smell anything!” exclaimed Donna, “Tell that dog breeder I want some new dogs, ones that know how to use their noses!” After breakfast two girls arrived outside the fence surrounding Donna’s property. “Think you can hit that twirly thing on the roof from here?” asked Sky.

“If I can’t hit that ‘twirly thing’ as you call it,” said Aoife, “then I will stop using rifles. It’s not that far away.” “Sarcasm.” said Sky. “Stop talking,” said Aoife, “someone might hear you.” “We’re in a bubble,” replied Sky, “no one can hear us.” “I can hear you,” said Aoife. Sky shocked her lightly. “AAAAA!” yelled Aoife, “That’s not nice!” “Oh, did something happen?” asked Sky innocently.

Aoife sighed, then she shot 4 times in quick succession. Then they returned to the hotel. “Why didn’t you just use one of your light bulbs?” asked Aoife. “They are called lightning balls!” Sky emphasized, “Kat thought I might start a fire or something. I mean, I know how to use these things, I’m not going to start a fire.” She then sighed loud and long.
