For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Sky and Aoife have just returned from destroying Mr. Flynn’s radar on top of the house. Likely she uses that to detect any drones coming onto her property, but not anymore. Mostly the team is doing these different things to unnerve Donna a bit. We want her to think that someone is out to get her, thereby making her nervous and unable to relax in that big refuge she has built for herself. But for now she won’t know who is after her and doing these things since she won’t see anyone or anything. She will just know that someone is there, watching her, day and night, and that nothing is safe, they can come and go with ease.
“How do they do it?” asked Donna. “I have no idea,” said Howard, “we should have been able to detect anyone outside the fence. That radar system is the best and would easily pick up people that close.” “But obviously it did not,” replied Donna, “and now it is broken completely. Someone is checking our security systems and it is not just for fun, these people, whoever they are, mean business. I want to know who is looking for me, and start with those 5 women who came here to take pictures. This all started after that. I want them!”
Meanwhile back at the hotel. “Hmm, so she wants our girls does she?” asked Kat, “Well, sorry to say this Mr. Flynn but you can’t have them! Sky, I have a job for you.” Sky zips in front of Kat, saluting. “Ready for duty, Leader Kat,” she said. “Sky,” said Kat. “Yes Kat?” asked Sky. “You’re saluting again, please stop,” said Kat quietly. “Oh, right, sorry,” she said and lowered her hand, “it’s Misty, she keeps doing it and, and, it kinda rubs off after a while.” “Yes, I know,” said Kat, “but try to stop doing it anyway. Now, I want you to take our 5 girls back home and bring 5 others of Jennifer’s choosing back here please.”
Sky slumped her shoulders and sighed. “Back to being a taxi again,” she muttered. “But you are doing a very important job that no one else can do,” said Kat, putting her arm around Sky, “you don’t want these girls getting tortured or killed, do you?” “No way, not on my shift!” said Sky, “it will take a couple of trips, so I better get going.” First, the girls checked out saying they were heading up to Oregon. Then Sky took them back home and brought 5 girls from Misty’s team back to California.
Meanwhile, back with Mr. Flynn. “We checked at the hotel, but those women already checked out,” said Howard, “they are heading up to Oregon.” “Hmm, guess they were just tourists after all,” said Donna, “but we need to find out who is doing this and how someone got into this house of mine and stay here for a while undetected. It just makes no sense at all. I spent a lot of money for my security systems and now they are not working.”
“Someone is just testing the security here,” said Derrick, “checking to see what there is and how quick our response times are. I sent Oliver around to check hotels and see who else is in town. He discovered there are two other groups of women at the hotel where those 5 were staying. Apparently they are from a couple of companies in Paris and London and are here on vacation.” “I don’t care about tourists Derrick,” said Donna, “find me someone that might be a problem.” “Oliver did find someone,” said Derrick, “a man by the name of Aari Jensen and his wife, plus 28 of his men. They are from Canada, but I don’t know anything more about them yet.”
“Hmm, I never heard of him,” said Donna, “but he is more intriguing than those women. How do you know all those men are with him?” “They all registered together,” said Oliver, “and Jensen paid for them all. He also told the manager that they worked for him and he brought them here as a reward for 10 years of good service.” “Suddenly it doesn’t sound so promising,” said Donna, “but keep checking on them anyway, and see if the story checks out for those women too.” “There are people right around here that wouldn’t mind seeing you dead Donna,” Walter reminded her. “Yes, I am well aware of that,” she replied, “but I doubt any of them have the courage to do anything about it.”
Meanwhile, back at the hotel. “So, she wants to keep checking on us does she?” asked Kat, “Angel, let Carine know what we heard.” “I just heard from Angel,” said Carine, “Donna is checking on this mysterious man from Canada and why he has so many men with him.” Aari just laughed. “Then perhaps we should tell her more about ourselves,” he replied, “or should we make her work for the information?” “I think we should let her work for it,” said Carine, “we can’t always make things easy for people.”
“Good point my darling wife,” said Aari, “work it is.” Later that evening when Aari and his team were in the restaurant having dinner, some men came in and walked over to their table. “Mr. Flynn would like to talk with you Jensen,” said Oliver, “so please don’t make a scene, just come with us.” “I’m sorry, but we have not had our dinner yet,” said Aari, “perhaps Donna would like to make an appointment to meet with us in our hotel room tomorrow.” “Yes,” added Carine, “that would be much better.” “And tell your friends to leave their guns alone,” said Aari, “after all, you don’t want to make a scene, Donna wouldn’t like that.”
“Bad choice Jensen,” said Oliver, “Mr. Flynn won’t like it.” He then left with his men, but as they neared the door, Oliver tapped one man who turned quickly and shot at Aari twice, though nothing happened to him. “Now you die!” yelled Carine, and the shooter dropped dead immediately. The other men took out their guns but dropped them quickly and Aari told his boys to escort those men outside. They got up and walked over to the men who for some reason couldn’t move until the Wolves got to them.
They took them outside, including the dead man and suggested they not return. A few bruises should help them remember. “How did they know my name?” fumed Donna, “No one knows me by name!” “Except for your men,” Walter reminded her, “I don’t trust Oliver. I think he would talk for some cash.” “Check his bank account Roy,” said Donna, “and let me see it…”
