For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
The team is discovering a lot about Donna Filing, who goes by the name of Mr. Flynn in order to hide in the open. However, it is not getting us any closer to finding out anything about her so we can put her in prison, except maybe for something minor and she probably wouldn’t get prison time for that. So, what to do? Should the team continue to watch her, or give up and come back home? There was an attempt on Aari’s life, but there is no way to prove that Donna gave the order to kill him. She could easily deny that one.
There is the present matter of killing some of her men and burying them to hide the fact, but again, she could deny involvement unless Walter and his men turn on her. But it is unlikely they would do that since she could easily have them killed before the matter went to court. It does seem odd she would turn on her own men though, since she must be running out of men by now. However, we will soon find out what this is all about. It isn’t about getting rid of Walter and his men, but it is about getting rid of a different “gang leader” and his men.
It’s a good thing he has a ghost for a wife or this could have gotten messy. We had a cover all ready for Aari and his team, just in case there was a problem. That’s why they were not wearing their Black Wolves vests or jackets on this trip. While Aari, Carine and the Black Wolves were having breakfast a lot of police officers showed up to arrest everyone for the murders of the men buried in the woods. “Mr. Aari Jensen, you and your men are under arrest for the murders of 6 men,” said the police chief, “please do not make trouble for us, just come along peacefully please.”
“I’m afraid you have me mistaken for someone else sir,” said Aari, “my name is Arni Jonson, I’m the CEO of Canadian Campers Company. We make camping gear for the Canadian outdoors.” Carine quickly communicated all of this to Jennifer who told Cristy to switch everything to the cover websites. The people shown on the Black Wolves site now looked like hardened criminals and our guys were now employees of the Canadian Campers Co. It was just a simple “one click” and everything was done. It would have been done right from the start, but it took the girls a while to get everything looking just right on both sites.
The police rechecked their information and discovered the mistake. They had been working on the assumption that those other men had their information correct. The police wanted to arrest these dangerous Black Wolves before they got away so they didn’t take time to check things first. Now, when the police chief checked, he found out those men had given them the wrong information and the officer in charge at the station had let the other men go with a promise to return when needed.
Unfortunately they had given the police wrong addresses and phone numbers for where they were living and had now returned to Mr. Flynn’s mansion. “Well,” said Donna, “that should rid us of those Black Wolves. They won’t be moving into my area anytime soon.” Walter and Roy laughed along with her. “You men will have to stay here out of sight for a while,” she said, “the police will likely be looking for you again and I need to give you a story to use as testimony against those men. Then you will be safe to walk around again.” However, Donna’s plan didn’t work out quite the way she had wanted it to work
Meanwhile, back at the restaurant. The police chief apologized to Aari, or Arni, Carine and the others too. The hotel manager wasn’t too happy either with the police harassing his guests, so he was also apologizing to our team. Donna was furious to find out about the mix-up and now her men would have to stay confined to the house much longer. She was also angry with Roy for giving the wrong information to her and he didn’t understand how he could make such an error. Donna settled down quickly though and told him not to worry. Apparently Roy is more than just another of her men, he is her boyfriend.
Meanwhile, back at our clinic. I am starting to feel better now and am allowed to have visitors, well, certain visitors. Jennifer was just here and gave some rules for me, posting them on the door for everyone to see. Anyway, she’s gone now and just a few minutes later the door opened a tiny bit. “All clear,” I said. Misty came in quickly and shut the door, locking it. “Look what I brought you,” she said cheerfully. “Yes! Donuts!” I exclaimed. “And tea,” she added, “I heard Jennifer telling Steffie and the other girls not to bring you coffee, just tea, so I obeyed.”
“Um, didn’t you hear her mention donuts?” I asked. “Nope, must have been before I got there,” she said. “Good, then you are not disobeying,” I said, munching on my donut. “What’s that list?” asked Misty. “Don’t look at it,” I said, “those are new rules for visitors.” “Right,” she said, “I won’t look.” She also brought 3 of the cats with her and they were on the bed sharing a donut. “Finally some real food,” I said, “thanks Misty.” “I thought you would be getting hungry by now,” she said, giggling, “well, I better go before Jennifer notices I’m missing.”
“Here, quick, finish this donut!” I said and handed her two pieces. She quickly popped them into her mouth. “You couldn’t finish those two pieces?” she asked. “That was leftover from the cat’s donut,” I said. Her eyes got real big and she ran out of the room. “Meowy, Very strange behavior.” The other two agreed. Meowy, “Now human Steve have big eyes.” “Ewwwww!!” said all three together. I pressed my help button and Lily came. She just shook her head. “You know better Steve,” she said, “no solid food yet. Now, who brought it?” I said Misty and the cats said Cristy. Lily just sighed. “I will have to ban both of them I guess,” she said, “and no more donuts!”
“Um, couldn’t we just keep this one quiet?” I asked, “If Jennifer finds out then both of those girls will be in trouble. It’s really my fault and I will obey the rules from now on. Please?” She sighed again. “Okay, this time only,” she said, “and you owe me.” I took out my laptop and opened to the girl’s favorite site. Lily smiled, flipped a bit, then pointed to one item and wrote something on a piece of paper. She finished with my bed while I sat in the chair, then she ordered me back into bed. “It will be here tomorrow,” I said, “so be close by when the mail comes.” She smiled again, then left. Now, what to do with Donna…
