Chung has checked Kristina and I thoroughly now, with blood tests, x-rays and two MRIs each. But he found nothing unusual, nothing had been implanted in us, no evidence of drugs or any damage to our nervous system or brains in any way. That is not good. Someone knows what they are doing, and they are after us for some reason, but why? And who is it? I definitely doubt it is Lavina, this is too sophisticated.

The team did find some listening devices in the chateau. They used the cats this time instead of the electronic detectors. And there was one camera, in the library, that showed Annelie perfectly. That is how they knew when to capture Kristina and I. But how did they know where we would be? We did not make that decision until we were outside.

However, they could have been watching us from afar and saw the direction we headed. Likely they had a good diagram of our estate. They had blacked out two of the path cameras with paint which they could have done after Annelie left her post. Rock has told me that he and Annelie will resign the team after we take care of this. I tried very hard to convince them both to stay. They are important members of this team. That would make things very hard for us.

Besides, I just do not want them to leave, they are good friends, as are all the team members. They did find a mysterious substance hanging in one of the trees close to where we were abducted, and Baldwin sent it to one of his labs for study. They said that this substance could be used to make machines quieter, perhaps silent. And considering the size and shape, they felt it perhaps was on one of the helicopter blades, which would silence, or nearly so, the sound they make.

That would explain why the cats did not hear the helicopter until it was leaving, after the substance fell off. Then it made enough noise for Muffin to hear it, just too late. It was a larger helicopter, and the cats said it was green. None of the others were quite sure of the color, but they agreed it could have been green. Now the search is on to try and find this chopper.

However, a lot of them exist, and the one that took us could have been repainted. So, finding it will likely be impossible. But we have to try everything we can. Chung has finally said we can go back home now, and Baldwin has more security guards around the chateau for now, but he does have a different idea for the future, though he is silent on that idea for now.

We arrived home in time for lunch, which was a real feast, a kind of celebration for our returning home. Kristina and I are basically back to normal now, though still kind of weak. We need to exercise now, but inside, in our gym room, just to be on the safe side. The next day Tracy came home too. She had been out on a scouting trip, to try and find some information for us from her contacts. Some of them prefer meeting face to face.

She was quite happy when she came back, and we called Chung to come over for an experiment. “I am going to spray some scents in the air,” she said, “they are perfectly harmless, but breathe in to see if they smell familiar.” She tried 4 scents, but nothing like what we had smelled. Then she tried another. “That is the one!” Kristina and I said together.

“I thought it would be, and so did my contact,” she said smiling, “and I have some gas here too. This is likely what was used, it is very powerful and will knock out a person fast. The scent is added so that people will breathe in deeply when they smell it, because it is so nice.” Chung was going to analyze the gas to see what kind of effect it might have, beyond just knocking us out.

Stanley and Luvia volunteered to help out with this. Chung will only use a small amount so they will not be hurt. But the experiment needs real people to check the reaction. Sigurbjorn had volunteered too, but I said no to that, she is my bodyguard. The mail arrived shortly after and there was a large envelope addressed to me. Rock took it, put on protective clothes and went outside to open it. There was no problem and the only thing in it was a DVD.

We began to play it and a woman came on and laughed at Kristina and I, but she thanked us for the fun we gave her. She claimed to do the beating herself after she drugged us just a bit so we could not fight back. Then her girls held us while she beat us. But apparently that was after her other fun plans and questioning. It was all recorded for us. Kristina could not watch part of it, she just started crying and ran from the room. I sent Galyna after her. Then the woman gave her name as Kacie Trenton…
