For a smile as wide as a country sunrise

Good morning once again!
Every time I see dried grass seeds I just have to stop and take a picture. They are true end of summer beauty and there are many different kinds to see and enjoy. I find that most people do not look twice at some dry grass, after all, it is just grass. But we tend to neglect the beauty that can be found right there in front of us. If this stem was standing straight up it would be about 6 feet tall. But it was bent over under its own weight. Have a fabulous day everyone and God bless!

Good morning everyone and Happy Sunday to you all!
Well, autumn is here so it is a good time for an autumn looking butterfly, and they can even be found this time of the year too. But this one was here back in early July and is the first time I have been able to photograph this particular butterfly. This is the “Milbert’s Tortoiseshell”. It is a real northern butterfly and can be found across most of Canada, but it can be found fairly far south as well. It has two broods per year and overwinters as an adult which will hide inside hollow logs, under bark or in outbuildings. It can come out fairly early in spring but I have not seen it before mid June. Have a wonderful Sunday and God bless!
