For a smile as wide as a country sunrise

Hi everyone!
Today we continue our look at flower flies. This flower fly is the “Syrphus species”. It is another one that looks similar to a wasp but is totally harmless, they are only interested in gathering nectar from flowers and in the process they help to pollinate them as well. Flower flies are an interesting group of flies with many different species and some are very hard to identify except by close examination which is impossible to do by just looking at them like this. But some do stand out quite nicely from the rest of the group, like today’s flower fly. Have a great day everyone and God bless!

Good morning to everyone on this meowvelous Monday! Well, today is the big day when we find out which name will be chosen for our new chipmunk. So, without further waiting, let us see who Muffin picks!

Okay, here we have our five names for the chipmunk.

I crumpled the paper and put them in a bowl for Muffin. Then I called her over.

She watched me mix them up, however, she didn’t think I did a good enough job, so she came and mixed them up some more with her nose. Amazing.

I asked her if she was ready. Meow=Yep, ready. She actually did meow in response to my question. She really does like to talk. Anyway…

“Okay,” I said, “GO!” And she immediately ran around the table and came sneaking up on the bowl and scooped out one of the paper balls! And the winner is…

Crunchy!! Thank you Rossana for submitting this name for our new chipmunk, I will start to use it today, providing I see him today of course. This turned out to be quite fun adding the photos along with it, and Muffin cooperated so nicely yesterday as well. She also had fun playing with the paper balls afterward too, chasing them all over the room and ripping them to shreds!
Well, kind of a different Monday post, but I hope you enjoyed it anyway. Sooo, have a wonderful Monday and don’t forget to have another cup of coffee before you leave. Thank you for joining us today and God bless!
