For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Hello everyone on this beautiful, early Monday morning! And here we are once again with a bit more humor for you to begin your week, we hope that you will enjoy at least something from today’s list. Feel free to smile, laugh, or groan, whichever you prefer!

A retired man volunteered to entertain the patients in the hospital. He took along his portable keyboard, told some jokes, and sang some funny songs. When he finished he said, in farewell, “I hope you get better.”
One elderly gentleman replied, “I hope you get better, too.”

Joe’s wife bought a new line of expensive cosmetics guaranteed to make her look years younger. After a lengthy sitting before the mirror applying the “miracle” products, she asked, “Darling, honestly, what age would you say I am?”
Looking over her carefully, Joe replied, “Judging from your skin, twenty; your hair, eighteen; and your figure, twenty five.”
“Oh, you flatterer!” she gushed.”
Hey, wait a minute!” Joe interrupted. “I haven’t added them up yet.”

A traveling salesman was held up by a bad storm in Hawaii.
He sent an email to his corporate headquarters advising them that he was stranded for a few days and requested instructions.
The reply came back shortly: “Begin vacation as of yesterday.”

Good morning everyone and Happy Sunday! Well, it is not so sunny this morning, although the sun still shines up there behind the clouds. So we can still call it Sunny Sunday anyway. And our flowers for today are nice and sunny too and that is a great way for starting off the week. My apologies to my readers in Europe and perhaps other places where their week begins on Monday, not Sunday like it does here.
Well, we had our time change last night, meaning moving our clocks ahead an hour for Daylight Savings time. I like that, it means longer evenings now, though for the moment it also means it stays darker in the morning a little bit later than it has been. But that will change quickly enough. Good thing we do move ahead or it would be getting daylight about 2:30am, which is a bit early. Then I would be getting up at 3am instead of 4!

Oh well. Some people like it, some people do not. I like it. I would like it to stay this way year round, but that is unlikely to happen. I was not even going to talk about this, how strange the way things happen sometimes. Speaking of strange things, no wait, I will talk about that later. If I remember. Which is unlikely to happen.
It is milder this morning and…we did get a bit more snow overnight. Not a lot though which is nice. I have not measured it yet to see how much we got. It is still dark out there and too early to go out and feed the birds. Speaking of birds, a lot of evening grosbeaks showed up yesterday! I counted over 100 of them, though I may have been off by one or two birds either way.

There were at least 60 redpolls as well. Their numbers keep fluctuating as birds leave to head north, then more move in from other areas to replace them. They feed good for a few days, then head north too. That is typical for this time of the year. Sure went through a lot of sunflower seeds yesterday as well. But it was fun to see all those yellow birds out there. I wonder what it will be like today? Have a wonderful, sunny Sunday everyone and God bless!
