Muffin’s Mewsings #10.😹

Hi everyone, Muffin here!😺 I hope all of you are feeling well today. It been hot here, too hot for little me, so I sleep all day and stay awake at night when it cooler. But my human do things backward. He awake in daytime and sleep at night! What a strange thing to do. It much cooler at night, I try to tell him, but he not listen to me. I go to him and say, you should be awake at night, nice a cool, sort of anyway. Better than daytime. He say, “did you lose your toy again?” No, I not lose toy, I talk about cool and hot. “Okay, I’ll look for it,” is what he tell me. I think heat getting to his brain.

I ask my human for pretty flower pics, must be pink I say, pink my favorite color.

So he open drawer of desk to get flashlight and he get down on floor to look under desk. I look too. He say it not under desk. I know that already, it over by chair. But he not listen. So he stand up, except he forget he leave drawer open and he hit head and knock drawer right out of spot and it land on his fingers! Oh, that must hurt. I can tell because of the blood. But he sit leaning against desk and do human purring! That sound so nice, and he do it just for me! I still say it strange though, I purr when I happy, my human purr when he hurt himself. Not see how hurting himself can make him happy. But, he does do it a lot, so maybe it does make him happy. I have such nice human, go to all that trouble to make me happy.

I really like this pink germanymum.

Then one day he cutting up something long and green, he call it a curly cumper, or something like that. I sniff it, not smell good so I not eat. Anyway, my human like curly cumpers a lot but while he cutting it he suddenly throw knife in air and then he do funny dance thing trying to catch knife, which he miss and knife fall to floor and land right between his toes! My human not often go with bare foots, mainly because he hurt foots too much and they turn all kinds of pretty colors. But that knife came so close! But while he doing funny dance thingy he hit edge of plate with eblow and it and all the curly cumper pieces go flying and plate fall and land on my human’s toes! So he sit on kitchen bench and do human purring again. Wow, twice in one week!

He one crazy human, but I love him anyway, always so much fun. Oh, oh! It one of those roaring storms again, the kind with flashing lights and big kabooms. AAAAAAAA,🙀 there great big kaboom now, I gone, bye!!

Sunday’s Sunshine #14.

Good morning everyone and Happy Sunday! I woke up to an unusual sight and sound this morning, it was raining. Just a light, nice kind of rain. This is much better than getting thunderstorms, this will soak into the ground better. So far we have had about 3/4 inch (19mm) of rain which is great. I hope they are getting this rain up where the fires are as well, this would slow them down a bit. Nice and quiet outside this morning. Jasmine was here first, then Slim came after she left and Jasper came once Slim left.

Delphinium with purple in with the blue.

The chipmunks are busy getting most of the peanuts. The gulls were here the earliest, as usual. Very few singing birds this morning, but the singing slows down this time of year as the nesting season progresses. It basically stops once the babies are out of the nest. Birds will still sing a bit afterward, but certainly not much. There are 2 chickadee families that come around each day, both with 4 babies each.

Light blue delphinium.

I haven’t seen the blue jays for a while, they would be busy showing their young how to survive the natural way before showing them how to get food the easy way, by coming here. The rain has stopped. It is still warm and very humid this morning. I’m enjoying my coffee inside this morning and listening to the sound of the rain which is so nice. I was until it stopped anyway. Sounds like there is some chasing going on outside, but it must be the chipmunks since there is no chattering.

Delphinium with dark center.

Squirrels are noisy, they like to chatter a lot when they have their “discussions”. All is so quiet and calm outside once more, the silence broken only by a red-breasted nuthatch calling now and then as he searches the branches for bugs. Some patches of blue sky are starting to show up now. I just put out some more peanuts for the chipmunks and more food for the gulls. Ricky, my only ring-billed gull was here, that’s 2 days in a row now. The clouds have cleared away, the sun is shining beautifully. Have a wonderful day everyone and God bless!
