For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Good morning everyone! This is a rather different post today but one that I need to write. Some of you know that I have been getting some bad comments lately, beyond negative. They have been abusive and hateful, tearing me and my blog down as much as they could. I’m sure you all know that I don’t write to hurt anyone, I am not hateful toward anyone nor do I try to put down people or tear them down in any way. These comments always come at night when I can’t deal with them unfortunately. But others have seen them and because of these comments I have lost many readers, which is terribly unfortunate. Again, I would never say or do anything to hurt any of you. I love you all and I’m very thankful that you are willing to take time out of your day to read my blog.
I came very close to shutting my blog down completely the beginning of this month, but right then some of you contacted me with very encouraging emails. So I’m still here. Fortunately I now have things set so these comments are going straight to spam. Due to the nature of the comments I can’t share them, I want to keep my blog family friendly. However, this morning one of these people sent me an email through my contact page which is shared below. I’m not really sure what they could do to me, all I have is a blog, not a business. But who knows? I don’t know how serious they are, but they have given me an ultimatum and I don’t plan on giving in to them. I just wanted everyone to know, it could happen to others and we need to support each other. Here is the email:

Good morning everyone! It’s cloudy here again this morning with some light snow, snow pellets and freezing rain, all mixed together. A nice mixed up bunch of weather to begin the day. At least it wasn’t slippery, guess there is enough snow mixed in to keep it from being too slippery. Driving around might be a bit different though, but it can’t be too bad, the street is as busy as usual. Speaking of streets, I caught Jasper running across the street yesterday. So when I was outside working on the new bird feeder Jasper came along and I said to him that we needed to have a talk. He just looked at me. Have a peanut and sit for a bit, which he did. It’s dangerous crossing that street, I told him, those cars and trucks are big. Chip. Yes, I know you’re fast, so are the cars. Louder chip. I know, there are no squirrels on this side of the street. Have you checked down the hill? He just looked at me. Yes, I know you live over that way, but maybe if you went further down the hill. Chip. Oh, you’ve done that already.
Still, the squirrel that lived here before you got run over by a car crossing the street. Chip. Oh, he was your cousin? Sorry to hear that. And there was another squirrel…Louder chip. Oh, she was your mother. Very sorry to hear that. But that’s why I don’t want you to go across the street. He looks at me. Sigh. Just be extra careful, look both ways before crossing the street, and don’t try to outrun a car. Chip. You’re welcome, I want you to stay around for a long time. Oh, ready for another peanut? Here you go. He takes it and off he runs back home. Now if I could just convince Jenny to come and live over on this side of the street. She and Jasper would make a good pair. It’s dark this morning. I’m not sure if that’s a light snow falling or a light rain right now. There was a chickadee out here this morning very early, just beginning to get light, perhaps he didn’t get enough food yesterday so he had to get up early. So I rushed out there with the feeders.

That big buck finally showed up a couple days ago, during the day that is, so I got some pics of him so today I will share a couple of them with you. He’s getting a bit more friendly now. I hope you have a wonderful day and God bless!
