For a smile as wide as a country sunrise

This poem is based on an actual event, with a few added fictional details, and told from Muffin’s perspective.
My human’s safely tucked in bed,
Big spider sitting on his head.
I jumped on him, he did not know
Big spider ran, when I did so.
My human woke and looked at me,
That spider, though, he did not see.
I pointed there, high on the door,
My human screamed, fell on the floor.
I jumped on him, no time to sleep!
Big spiders we don’t want to keep!
He woke right up and grabbed his shoe,
Big spider’s gone, now what to do?

Hello everyone on this very mild December morning! Well, here we are at the last 10 days of 2019 so I will be doing something a little different over these next few days. And there will be some new things happening here at Steve’s Country in 2020. And that will start January 1 with something I haven’t tried before, a new fictional series will come your way. Thought I would try my hand at writing a fiction story which I hope you will enjoy. You won’t want to miss the introduction and chapter 1 coming your way on New Year’s day! To end the year nicely and with some very warm thoughts I will be sharing some of the flower photos from my amazing birthday vacation back in June to the French Riviera!
So here we go with today’s pics…

Some beautiful white orchids to start with for today. A variety of phalaenopsis orchid.
These are fabulous orchids to see in person. Sorry I don’t recall the name of this one. I was writing down names of flowers along the way and when I got home I could not find my list anywhere. Sigh. Not the only thing I was missing.
I hope you like these photos, it brings back such wonderful memories of sunshine and hot weather. A great way to end the year. I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday and God bless!
Steve and Muffin.
