For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Good morning once again everyone! The days seem to go by so fast sometimes. It’s hard to believe that it’s been 2 months since I injured myself. And another 2 months to go. Or, as I found out today, perhaps spring before I’m completely back to normal again. I have been overdoing it a bit. And I haven’t even been doing much. So I have to cut back. Basically that means sitting. And doing one stretching exercise. Absolutely no lifting, moving things, shoveling or sweeping snow no matter how little there is. This is northern Canada. It snows here. Sigh. Oh well. It is slowly getting better and for that I am certainly thankful. But with every cloudiness there is always sunshine, so let’s look at some of that sunshine now.
Starting with one of my all time favorite flowers, the maiden pink. They are small, but beautiful and hardy flowers. They also come in white, red and violet. I think there might be a pink/white or red/white variety also.
And here we have a nice dark pink rose with interesting “frilled” petals. Don’t often see roses with petals like that. This is only the second one that I have seen. Since roses are my favorite flower, I just had to include this one today.
There we go for today everyone, I hope you have a terrific Tuesday and God bless!

Hello everyone and welcome to our second look at art in nature. There is so much around that we overlook as we go about our day. Often we need to slow down a bit and start to notice some of these things. And you don’t need to be in a country location to see a lot of these things. They can be found right in your own neighborhood or in a park and even right in your own yard. So let’s take a look at today’s selection…
I just thought this little grouping of mushrooms and white pine cone looked rather cool together and a worthy addition to my collection of nature’s art.
Now here is a mushroom I thought was exceptionally cool. Don’t you agree? Not only that, I found 2 of them, and not even close to being in the same location. They really made my day bright with a smile.
There we have our second look at nature’s art, the next one will be coming on Friday. Please let me know if you enjoy this new series. A very Happy Monday to everyone and God bless!
