For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
While we sat waiting for something to happen, in drove a van followed by a limousine, followed by another van. The pulled up in front of us and just stayed there, no one got out of any vehicle. Kristina, who is in charge of security right now, called out to them through our loudspeaker. “Only one person may come out of any vehicle, no weapons,” she began, “then stay beside your vehicle and state your business.” No one came out and no one answered.
“Hey, cameras just popped out of the roof of the first van,” said Jacquelyn. Nakedra was on the top step and could see them, so she shot them both right off the roof. Vlora and her Angels were all around the front of the chateau now, guns ready. Kristina called Jennifer and asked her to come and take over, she didn’t like how things were looking right now. Crystal, Astrid, Engla, Roxette and Honey went back to stay with the kids and Jennifer came out and went outside and began walking toward the limousine.
She had several ‘packages’ with her, clipped to her belt, but no one could see them. As she got about half way to the vehicles, the side doors on the vans opened and men began jumping out, guns ready, and they began shooting. Vlora’s Angels began shooting too. A couple of the men tried to shoot Jennifer, without success and they couldn’t figure out why their guns were not working. Jennifer turned to the group of men on her left and yelled out, “You die first!”
Then there was a loud explosion and the six men were lying on the ground. She then turned to the group on her right, but the Angels had eliminated them already. The limousine began to drive away but there was another loud explosion and the front of the limousine was destroyed. Four of the five men inside came out with hands up. The driver died in the explosion. “You have made a big mistake, young lady,” said the one man.
“Strange, I was just going to say that to you,” said Jennifer, “especially since you lost this fight. Now, who is the leader of this group of misfits?” “That is me, young lady,” said the man. “State your name and why you came here,” she said, “and I would suggest talking fast and truthfully. I have no patience with liars.” “My name is Troy Kenaston,” he said, “and I’m here looking for a young woman that is with you. Hand her over to me and we will be on our way.”
“You don’t seem to understand things very well Mr. Kenaston,” she said, “you lost, remember, and there are only 4 of you. That means you listen and answer questions, but you do not give orders. I also don’t have patience with people who do not understand the proper way of doing things.” Right then 4 ambulances came driving in quickly and picked up 2 wounded girls and two that had been killed. It might have been worse, but they were all wearing vests.
“Now, who is it you are looking for?” asked Jennifer. “A young woman that goes by the name Cricket,” he said, “she is from Montreal, in Canada. She is just 15 and ran away from home and her parents hired me to find her and bring her back.” “There is no girl here named Cricket, of any age,” said Jennifer, “and you are a liar Mr. Kenaston. The police will be here shortly to arrest you for murder.” “That charge will never stick,” he said, “you threatened us and we were just protecting ourselves.
You will be the ones arrested for murder, unless you would like to reconsider and hand over Cricket to us.” “I told you already, there is no one here by that name,” she said, “you should try checking with Shady Maples Cemetery in Toronto. She died before we could get her proper medical care.” “Well, when the police get here you shouldn’t mind if we look around and see for ourselves if you are hiding this little girl,” said Troy, smiling. “When the police come, you will be arrested and taken to jail,” said Jennifer.
I then communicated to Jennifer that more trouble was coming, and it concerned the police and Troy. “You have fake police coming to help you Mr. Kenaston,” she said, “but that will not help you at all. And now, my patience has run out, and so has your life.” She then gave two kicks to his stomach and one to his head, which killed him. At that moment the police arrived, three cars with four men in each. They stopped and the men got out walking over to Jennifer.
“Take your friends and leave,” said Jennifer, “and that includes the dead men.” “You are under arrest young woman,” said the captain. But Jennifer disappeared right before their eyes. They all just stood there looking around to see where she went. Suddenly all of the cops dropped their guns because they were too hot, then Jennifer reappeared before them. “Now, I told you to take your dead friends and leave,” she said, “and if you don’t, you will begin to die one by one until you do what I say.” They all just stood there.
“Okay captain, you die first,” and she pointed at him. He dropped dead immediately. The men looked at each other but did nothing. “Now you!” she yelled, pointing to another cop and he too fell to the ground. “You men are very stubborn,” she said sighing, “now you!” Another cop fell to the ground. That was enough and they began to load the dead men into the van that was still usable. “We will be back lady,” said one of the first men to arrive.
“Don’t bother coming back,” she said, “next time we will not be so nice.” The men then drove away and Jennifer went back inside. We kept the red alert going for a while longer, just to make sure they didn’t try returning right away. Poor Katresa, she was crying when she found out that 2 of the girls died and two others were wounded, because of her.
“My parents want me back,” she said, “and they won’t stop until they have me.” “Your parents are dead, remember?” I reminded her, “because we had the same parents. Cricket died in Canada and is buried there, and that is the way it will stay. Cricket’s parents have made a big mistake and will pay for it.”
To Be Continued.

Hi everyone! Sometimes our temperatures sure do jump around a lot. It was so nice on the weekend and Monday, with temperatures of 61 to 63 F (16 to 17C). Then the wind changed to the north again. And the temperature dropped fast. This morning it was heavy clouds, windy and with a temperature of just 34F (1C). And…with some of those white snowflakes falling from those clouds.
Nothing serious. Just kind of a reminder that winter is not far away. Although it will be getting a bit milder again over the next few days. But not like before. But still nice for this time of year. Definitely jacket weather. Glad I got all my geraniums inside before this colder weather arrived. Most of them are doing fine, although a couple of them are not doing so well. However, I’m sure they will perk up again.

Looking across a bay of our lake.
Hopefully. The clouds are beginning to break up now and the sun is beginning to shine once more. And that has pushed our temperature all the way up to 39F (4C), however, with the wind that still feels like 30F (-1C). I am showing some more of my fall photos from our trip out the other day. Too bad our fall colors were not that good again this year.

A different direction across that bay.
Our last real nice year for fall colors was 2020, even 2021 wasn’t too bad, but since then it really has not been very good. Without getting an early frost the leaves don’t change color all at the same time on the different trees. This year we did get a frost, but then we got that extra strong wind that blew the leaves off most of the trees. Sigh. Oh well, minor details.
But it does mess with photo opportunities. And right now my photo opportunities are not very good anyway. I will be sharing more of this year’s fall photos in the next Fall Ramblings post as well. Not so much for the colors, but nice fall landscape photos anyway. I like fall landscape photos of all kinds.

And yet another look across that same bay.
Old fields with tall grasses of gold and brown with trees growing here and there. Old fences falling apart, the same with old buildings. Hmm, Muffin has fallen asleep on my lap again. I should get up though and do some cleaning. She won’t like that too much, but, it has to be done. Have a great day everyone and God bless!
Steve and Muffin.
