For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Good morning everyone! Yesterday was Muffin’s birthday, but due to things going on I did not get this posted in time.

So, today will be Muffin’s birthday instead.

She is now 13 years old!! She is still running around a lot and jumping just like she ever did.

Well, maybe not quite with the jumping, she used to be able to jump 5 feet straight up, now she only does 4 feet, which is still great.

I have picked out a few pics from over the years to share with you today. And don’t forget to say Happy Birthday to Muffin, she will be looking for those comments today.

Have a great day everyone and God bless! 😊😻🐈🥳🥳🎂

The guys were awake fast when they heard that explosion. They all came running down the stairs and went looking outside. But, they could not find anything. They then came back inside. ”Storm,” said Rock, “why did you shoot that missile?” Meowr.=Me see something fly around, so went out to shoot it down. ”There is no sign of anything out there now,” said John, looking at Storm.
Meowr.=There was something, that why I shoot it down. Everyone went back to bed, except Storm and Ginger, they continued watching. After a while it was all quiet again, except for a ghostly voice talking quietly to Sky. ”Now, now, you must take your medicine,” said the ghost. Sky tried to say no, she tried to call out, but her voice was gone and she had no strength to resist.
“Please, no,” said Sky, barely audible. The ghost wiped her arm with something and then gave her a needle. ”No Chantelle, no,” she said, “please, no Chantelle, no more, please.” The cats heard Sky talking and Ginger went over and woke up Sapphire and Charly since they were closest to Sky. Sky was tossing and turning, moaning and groaning.
They both heard Sky saying “no Chantelle, please, no more”. Charly told Storm to wake up Rock quickly which he did so. ”Now what is it Storm?” he demanded. ”Sky have problems, she talking about human Chantelle, Charly said get you fast. Rock was up and came back downstairs quickly. Charly met him in the kitchen and told him what was going on.
Rock did not like that at all. It was close to morning so Rock stayed awake, watching everyone. All was quiet until daybreak, then the guys came downstairs. Dawn and Sapphire were already making pancakes and coffee was nearly ready. ”Chantelle,” Rock began, “Sky was dreaming, or something, during the night and kept using your name and telling you to stop something, and saying she did not want anymore.
Do you know why?” ”I have no idea,” she said, “perhaps she had a fever.” ”Maybe,” said Rock. After breakfast the guys went looking for this other little cabin that was supposed to be out here, however, Aari stayed behind with Alfred. While Chantelle was outside for a while, Candace went over and looked at Sky’s eyes and she then frowned.
“To me it looks like she has been drugged,” said Candace, “I have seen a lot of that, and I am talking about hard drugs, the illegal kind.” She was talking to Aari and Alfred. Aari told Dawn to check in Chantelle’s medical bag. She did so and everything seemed normal, except for some syringes, 3 were empty and 4 were full.
They just looked at the syringes, not knowing what to think. They were not marked like everything else in the bag, and that was odd, everything was supposed to be clearly marked just in case someone had to use the medication, besides the nurse assigned to the team. Aari went outside to call me and I asked him to confront Chantelle right away, before she gave Sky anything else.
I called Dr. Kerstina and she said all of their syringes were clearly marked, there should be no plain white ones in Chantelle’s bag. She sounded very concerned about that news. When Chantelle came back inside with more firewood, Aari asked her about the syringes. ”I have never seen those before,” she said, sounding surprised.
“Then why did Sky keep repeating your name and saying ‘no more Chantelle?” asked Aari, “What is in these syringes and why have you been giving them to Sky?” Chantelle kept saying she knew nothing about the syringes and had never given anything to Sky. Aari asked her why she did not recognize Sky had been drugged, even though Candace did.
“Hey, anyone can get into my medical bag,” she said, “it is not locked. Someone is trying to frame me!” Just then Rock and the others arrived back and Aari filled him in on what they found out. Rock asked for Chantelle’s gun and told her she was on inactive duty for now, she was not allowed near the injured girls or the food supply. He reassured Chantelle this was just normal procedure…
