For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Beryan is good to have around, she recognized a problem and had a good idea what it was. After x-rays Li Jing confirmed her suspicions. “Well Bridgette,” she said, “this is what you have been trained for, are you ready?” “Yes, I am ready,” replied Bridgette. I was soon on the operating table getting some extra sleep while Bridgette went to work removing my problem.
Kat, Dawn and Kera were right there watching everything. I opened my eyes and looked around. I could move my head but nothing else. It was foggy in the room. I looked over at the bed next to me where Sky should be, but she was not there. What happened to her? Then I saw a man standing next to my bed looking at me, but I could not see his face clearly. He laughed.
“You are going to die Steve,” he said, “it is only a matter of time, and there is not much time left. You are dying right now. In a few more minutes it will be all over.” He laughed loudly again and just disappeared. Then I heard a voice on the other side of the bed. I turned my head and saw Sky standing beside me. “Steve, you need to fight this,” she said, “you are strong enough to fight.
I need you to do this for me Steve, please fight.” Then she bent over and kissed me. “Please fight Steve, do it for me, please, fight for me.” Then she turned and walked away out the door. But the door was closed, she walked right through the door. Is she dead? Is she now a ghost like Kat? Then I saw Kat at the foot of the bed. I tried to talk but could not. I tried to call to her.
I could feel tears falling down my cheeks. I tried to call again. I know who did this Kat. Please help me Kat, I am dying, you must stop this man quickly. I could not make a sound no matter how much I tried yelling. Then Kat walked out through the door, just like Sky did. “Mac,” said Kat, “anyone else here with you?” “No, just me Kat,” he said, “what is wrong?”
“Watch that door Mac,” she said, “do not let anyone through that door, only Li Jing and Bridgette, but no one else!” “Sure thing Kat,” he said, “but…” “I know who did this,” she said, and off she went. It did not take her long to get home. Crystal let her in right away. “What is wrong Kat?” she asked. “I know who did it,” she said, “come with me.”
They went into the library. Mandar, Nelson, Annelie, Rock, Aari, Miles, and Hawk were in there. “Kat, why are you here?” asked Nelson. Kat never said a word, she just went over to Hawk and told him to stand up. He did so, smiling at her. She then hit him twice, then kicked him in the stomach, knocking him to the floor. “Get up!” she yelled. Everyone else just watched, though Crystal had her hand on her gun.
He got up and whipped out his gun quickly, but it would not work. He did not know that guns do not work against Kat. “You cannot kill a ghost Hawk,” she said angrily, “you poisoned Sky and you planted that device on Steve to kill him! Now comes the wrath of the Kat!” When she said that, Rusty jumped on Hawk’s back, scratching him, and Hawk screamed loudly.
That brought the other cats. Rusty jumped off quickly and Kat kicked Hawk twice, then once more on his head and he was dead. “Oh my dear Kat,” said Mandar, “and to think I recommended that man.” “We cannot always know what people are like,” said Baldwin, “Kat, how did you know it was Hawk?” “Steve told me,” she said quietly. “Then Steve is okay?” he asked excitedly.
“Not really,” she said, sitting down, “he is incoherent, does not really talk, just makes noises, like he is in a dream.” “But you just said…” he began. “No more questions,” said Galyna. She had just arrived and sat down beside Kat. After a few minutes Kat got up to head back to the clinic. “Crystal, Aoife, go with her,” said Baldwin.
Back at the clinic Crystal told Mac what happened. “Never did trust him,” said Mac. Meanwhile, “Still no word from Hawk,” said Wayne. “Then we will have to assume he failed,” said Ronja, “but I will get that man yet. I hate him, oh how I hate him! Have they sent anyone back to that old cabin yet?” “No, they have not,” said Erik. “That means they found that book,” said Ronja, “we must get that book!”

Happy Monday to everyone!😺 Did you have nice weekend time? We have nice time here, lots of sleep time, except at night, then it time to play. But for some reason my human say night time is for sleeping, day time is for playing. I say no, night time for playing, day time for sleeping. So, then we have discussion. My human agree with me now. He also need to buy more bandages! hehehe!😹😹 Okay, here is Monday funny time…
The old lady handed her bank card to a bank teller and said, “I would like to withdraw $10.”
The teller told her, “For withdrawals less than $100, please use the ATM.”
The old lady wanted to know why. The teller returned her bank card and irritably told her, “These are the rules. Please leave if there is no other matter. There is a line of customers behind you.”
The old lady remained silent for a few seconds, then handed the card back to the teller and said, “Please help me withdraw all the money I have.”
The teller was astonished when she checked the account balance. She nodded her head, leaned over, and respectfully told her, “You have $300,000 in your account and the bank doesn’t have that much cash currently. Could you make an appointment and come again tomorrow?”
The old lady then asked how much she could withdraw immediately. The teller told her any amount up to $3000.
“Well, please let me have $3000 now.” The teller then handed it very friendly and respectfully to her. The old lady put $10 in her purse and asked the teller to deposit $2990 back into her account.
The moral of this tale: Don’t be difficult with old people, they’ve spent a lifetime learning the skills.

Money does not go as far as it used to. But it does go FASTER.

My landlord texted me saying we need to meet up and talk about how high my heating bill is. I replied back: “Sure, my door is always open.”

That all for today everyone, have very nice Monday!
