For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Well, we are all back at home again, and have been for a month now. I have watched all the videos we made to help me know who I am and who everyone else is. But my mind is still blank. I remember absolutely nothing. Well, I guess that is not quite true. The fact that the cats can talk did not surprise me, and that was kind of strange.
Right now I am sitting in the library by myself when Snow came walking in and jumped onto my lap. Meowy?=You feel good this morning? “Yes Snow,” I said smiling, “I am feeling fine.” She started to purr and curled up on my lap. “Where are the other cats?” I asked her. Meowy.=They out doing training session right now.
“Why are you not out there?” I asked. Meowy.=Me not offi, um, officible, um, not real member. I help at home instead. “You mean official member,” I said, “but you are a real member if you help at home here. Right now you are being a big help to me.” I then chuckled a bit. Meowy?=Why you giggles? “I was just thinking of the time when Muffin and Mr. Cat first met,” I said, “Muffin did not understand that Mr. Cat was his name, she thought he was making fun of her and she bit his tail.”
I chuckled again. Snow’s ears went straight up and she sat up right away, then started bouncing excitedly. Meowy!=You remember, you remember! And she went running quickly to the kitchen where Annelie was making donuts. Annelie came running into the library. “Is it true?” she asked, “You can remember?” “I am not sure what Snow meant,” I said.
Then I told her what I had said. “You did remember something!” Annelie said excitedly, “That is exactly what happened!” Just then Nelson came into the room and Annelie told him. “Well, now that is something good to hear,” he said. Annelie then ran back to the kitchen and her donuts. “Well Mr. B,” I began, “I guess it is a start, but it sure does not seem like much to get excited about.”
“Hey, watch what you say Steve,” he said, “yes, even little things are a good beginning. That means you will soon be remembering other things too.” I wasn’t sure what he was referring to at the start, but I hope he was right and I will soon be remembering more. I did not like living nowhere, not knowing who I am or who anyone else is either.
Especially Sky. How come I cannot remember my own wife? That must be hard on her too, even though she does not let on that it does. Soon another month passed and still nothing more has taken place. Meanwhile, in a prison far away. “Morgan, I need a man I can trust to look after my stuff,” said a man, “if you understand me.”
“Yeah, I know what you mean,” said Morgan, “but I will not be able to beat this, so I will be here for a long time.” “Work for me and you will be out in 2 days,” he said, “I know you can handle the job, but I also know you have a grudge you want to settle.” “Yeah, I sure do,” said Morgan, “and I will first chance I get.” “You will work for me,” said Craig, “that means nothing else right now, just look after my stuff.”
“Okay, I can do that,” said Morgan. “Who is it you want to get?” asked Craig. “Ever hear of The Investigators?” asked Morgan. “Yeah, I have heard of them,” he replied, “who do you want to get from that group, the leader?” “Yeah, him, his wife Sky and another woman named Kat,” he said. “Who is that other woman?” asked Craig.
“She was married to Steve before,” replied Morgan, “then some guy named Toledo killed her and now she is back. She claims to be a ghost and no one can kill her. I saw her point her finger at Drake and she said, ‘now you will die’, and he dropped dead. I would not have believed it, but it happened. But I do not believe in ghosts, must be someone that looks like the original Kat.”
“Interesting,” said Craig, “you let me take care of them, you just take care of my stuff. Got that?” “Got it,” he said. “Mark, give him the details,” said Craig. The other man took him out to talk. “Get me Fingers,” said Craig. “Right boss,” said another man, and off he went.
Now back to us. Penny had not actually died, that was just part of our plan to bring Mike out in the open. Now Penny was with us and has been going through our training program to join our team. She was training to be a nurse and had just one more year to go, so she will be finishing her courses with us. We need another nurse apparently.
Nelson came in with a big plate of donuts. “Oh good,” said Sky and she took a couple each for her and I. Nelson just looked at his plate. “There is still 4 left Mr. B,” I said smiling. “What have I told you about that?” he asked. “Sorry, but I am just so used to calling you Mr. B, it is hard to change,” I said. Sky and Nelson looked at me, then at each other. Perhaps my memory is still there, just hidden from view. We shall see, next time.
The End. This will continue in our next adventure, coming soon!

Good morning to everyone! As I look out the window this morning there is not much happening. It is a cloudy morning with a temperature of 59F (15C). We are supposed to get some showers and possible thunderstorms later today and tonight. Temperatures are supposed to stay quite nice until early next week.
Then there will be a noticeable change, downward change in temperature. But we will be entering the month of October so cooler weather is to be expected. Yesterday a friend of mine took me out around town a bit to get some pics of our streets. It was amazing at how many trees have lost their leaves already.

Some people do not like Virginia Creeper (a vine), but it is great for covering a chain link fence to give privacy, it produces berries that birds love, and it looks fantastic with its red fall foliage.
That wind and rain last weekend is what did it. So I missed some beautiful trees. Oh well. I am also going to try and get some pics of our older buildings and will be sharing them, plus talking a bit about them in future posts. I am still trying to get things sorted and settled in here. It is a slow process this time. I am definitely not doing things as fast as I did in other moves.
That is a bit discouraging, however, Muffin and I are getting it done and we are both quite happy with how things are turning out. There really is not much left to do now. I have begun hanging pictures now which is usually the last thing I do, though I have a few other things to finish off as well.

Some nice fall foliage at one of our local schools.
My kitchen kind of looks like an empty cavern. I should really have my little table in there which would help, but I like to have the table by my living room window. It is a nice place to sit and eat and look out over the area. Rather than staring at a wall.
Perhaps I should get another table to put in the kitchen, then it would also give me more room to use when I am baking. There is not much counter space in the kitchen, only about 4 feet, which is already full. So, having a table in there would be helpful. I might look into that possibility. I can hear a cup of coffee calling me. I hope you all have a wonderful day and God bless!
Steve and Muffin.
