For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
A very good morning to everyone on this 12th day of September! I certainly never intended to be away for so long, but things happen sometimes. I sat here beside my living room window watching the day wake up this morning. Things have changed just in the 12 days that I have been living here.
At first there were quite a few birds flying around, gulls, crows, geese, ravens and even blue jays, grackles and chickadees, though just a few of those and not every day. Now there are not many birds around at all. But birds are constantly heading south now.

Stacks of boxes everywhere.
The last couple of days there have been large numbers of Turkey Vultures on their way south. I am including some pics of the area. There are lots of houses out there, but they are hidden by all the trees. This is a very old section of town, mostly residential. There is a small park, of sorts, across the street. It is for sports, like baseball in summer and skating in winter, not for walking around or sitting on benches.

Muffin checking on my unpacking progress.
Unfortunately my pics are either through a dirty window or from the balcony which has safety netting across it, apparently something that is required here. But it does make it hard to get good pics. Sigh. We do have some resident deer in our neighborhood. There are 2 does, 2 fawns and 2 bucks.

Here is one of the bucks reaching up a good 8 feet or more for some tasty red leaves.
I did get pics of the bucks, still trying for the others. I am still unpacking, though nearly done. Since I hurt myself early on I had to unpack rather slowly, otherwise it would be all done by now. I lost a lot in this move too, things were broken. One box in particular that had family heirlooms (dishes) in it.

Here is the other buck, larger in size and less cooperative for pics.
That one everything was smashed into tiny pieces. It must have fallen out of a truck and landed on the street spilling its contents. Then it was scooped up, tossed back into the box and nothing was said. Too bad people are like that. Why not tell me?

Looking south out my window.
Of course I was a bit stupid too. I should have spread out the family items into several boxes, that way there would be less chance of losing it all. Oh well. Things happen. I do like this apartment though. It is certainly different from what I have been used to until this point. More on that another time.
Well, that is all for today, hopefully I will be back to a “regular” schedule now, whatever that will mean I am not quite sure yet. Have a wonderful day everyone and God bless!

Hi to all of you out in blogging land!😸 I hope you having nice day today. It kinda starting to look normal in here, except for all messy stuffs like paper and bubbly wrappings in big piles. But my human keep taking bags of messy stuffs down to garbage place almost every day. I tell him he need to write post today or he going to have very sore feet for next few days. We see if that work.😺 Here is funny for today…
One day a man passed by a farm and saw a beautiful horse.
Hoping to buy the animal, he said to the farmer: “I think your horse looks pretty good, so I will give you $500 for him.”
“He does not look good, and he is not for sale,” the farmer said.
The man insisted, “I think he looks good and I will up the price to $1000!”
“He does not look good,” the farmer said, “but if you want him that much, he is yours.”
The next day the man came back raging mad. He went up to the farmer and screamed, “You sold me a blind horse! You cheated me!”
The farmer calmly replied, “I told you he did not look good, didn’t I?”
Hehehe!😹 That funny for today, hope you all have nicest day!
