Sunday’s Mystery In The Rain.

mystery-blogger-666288642

Well, here we are on a rainy Sunday morning which makes it a good time to do another award post.  This time I was nominated for the Mystery Blogger Award by my friend Ilona.  She is a wonderful person with a very interesting blog where she talks of many subjects and always has something to help motivate you each day.  Thank you for nominating me Ilona.

Rules:
Put the award logo/image on your blog
List the rules.
Thank whoever nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
Mention the creator of the award and provide a link as well.
Tell your readers 3 things about yourself
You have to nominate 10-20 people
Notify your nominees by commenting on their blog
Ask your nominees any 5 questions of your choice; with one weird or funny question
Share a link to your best posts.

Okay, now to list 3 things about myself.  This is always the hard part, but here goes;

  1. I love gardening. However, now that I live in an apartment that is no longer possible. I did try container gardening my first summer here but someone trashed all my plants one night so I decided not to try again.
  2. I enjoy old movies from the Golden Age of movies. That’s movies from the 1930s to the 1950s.
  3. I collect rocks and minerals. I started that collection when I was 10 and I still enjoy it.

Now look at that.  Notice I did not mention that I love warm places this time.  I told myself when I started to do this award that I would not mention the fact that I love warm places this time, and I did it.  You may clap if you wish.

Now it’s time for Ilona’s questions.  I notice that everyone gives me hard questions.  What’s wrong with easy questions?  Well, okay, these questions are not too bad, so…

  1. How long have you been in your blogging journey?

I had to look this up, terrible I know, but I started in July of 2017.  My blog has changed a bit since then.  But it’s still fun.  I think.

2. Do you like comics, if you do which one is your favourite?

Yes.  Does Garfield count?  He’s my favorite comic hero cat!  Wrong kind of comics? Does Spiderman count? Or Captain America?

3. Do you think we are alone in the universe?

Yes. That was an easy one.  If you disagree and want to argue about it, forget it. I don’t argue. Sorry about that.

4. Shower or Bath?

Shower most of the time, bath if I really want to relax.  I really like easy.

5. London or Paris?

For a visit, both of them.  To live, neither of them.

Now I’m supposed to share a link to my best posts.  But that would suggest that some of my posts are no good.  I like them all, but then, I am a bit biased on that.

Now I have to come up with 5 questions for my nominees.  This part can be hard.

  1. Do you like rainy days?
  2. Do you enjoy reading?
  3. Do you watch TV on a daily basis?
  4. Do you keep up with current news?
  5. Have you ever been so frustrated with your computer/laptop/phone that you felt like tossing it out the door?

See? I use easy questions.  Oh well.  Now I’m supposed to nominate 5 people.  Yes, I know what it says, but there’s only 5 questions.  Anyway, you will have to check and see if you are on the list because I’m a rule breaker and I won’t notify you.  I know. I’m a terrible person.  Here you are;

That’s all for now folks, glad you were able to join me for another award post today and I hope you enjoyed it.  Muffin was too busy playing to help out with this one, but she will be back for the next one.  Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers out there!!  I hope you all have a great day and God bless!

    • Hey, thank you so very much Venus! Yes, lasagna is so good, a Garfield specialty. Muffin likes it too, Muffin is doing well,😺 she needed extra love, it was hard at the beginning but she has turned into a very loving cat now, but she still has her problems. I hope you have a wonderful day!😃😺🌞

      • Oh good, because if I recall correctly-don’t you like warm? 🙃
Earwigs, spittlebugs, coddling moths, oh my! I squish and squash cucumber beetles and little green worms. It is a terrible day for pesky pests! Muwahahaha…..

      • Spittlebugs we do get and those little green worms, I suppose the others are around, but I have never encountered them. One of these days I’m going to do a post on why I love warm places. Not that I have been to any exotic warm places. Warmest place I’ve been is Texas. I just don’t travel anymore. Besides, Muffin wouldn’t like being alone and traveling with her…wouldn’t be a fun idea!😂😾

      • No, not fun. A cat is a cat! 😽 They must keep a schedule—and us on time! Ha! I love the cartoon Garfield waking up Jon!
Do you see the northern lights where you are?

        Liked by 1 person

      • Yes, the northern lights can be quite beautiful here, fall and early winter especially. Quite colorful and dancing around, very nice to see.😄 Hey, that makes 2, besides me, that like Garfield!😁😸

      • Should I mention that I also collect rocks? I like to tumble agate stones. Always looking for heart shaped stones. Never to throw at anyone…

      • You can find agates there? Cool. I used to tumble stones, mostly amethyst and smoky quartz (that was totally black). But my tumbler quit working and I just never got back at it. You don’t throw stones?😂😁

      • On the coast yes, Agate beach. The Chetco river water looks a green color from serpentine. Occasionally we find and an obsidian chip and arrowhead.
No stone unturned, wait no turn unstoned—ah I’m all confused. This place has gone to the birds!

      • Serpentine and obsidian too, not bad! Arrowheads can sometimes be found here along the lake shore, but they have to be turned over to the government, not legal to collect them anymore. Keep turning those stones, but don’t let them fall on your foot!😂

      • Really? Not legal anymore. Hmm. I found a nice one once-but gave it to a woman elder of the Takelma tribe. Made her happy.
Ever find dinosaur eggs? Rocks that is.

      • I’m trying to google a picture-but not finding it. I must have the only one. It was a gift from a fellow rock hound. Rough and dirty outside-inside polished and beautiful. Hmmm…

      • Ah, that makes sense.
Well, it’s time for me to put on my weeding glasses and get busy taking care of our little patch of earth. We have a family of Swift’s that have moved in this year. Looking forward to the little ones taking flight!
Thanks for visiting with me, Steve-appreciate the smiles! Give Muffin a scratch from me😻🧚‍♀️

      • Thanks NZ. We used to have Swift’s around a few years in a row, haven’t seen any now for quite some time. Muffin meows her thanks!😃😸

      • Well, if it’s climate change and it keeps going, we will have no summer left at all, 12 months of white. Sigh. I’ll go absolutely crazy! Worse than I am even.😂😹Good advice there, yours, not mine.🙂

  2. Congratulations once again. You collect rocks? Do you mean crystals? I do both. ☺. I’ve a collection of small pebbles I collect from the places I visit. Sometimes I buy crystals too.
Would love to read a blog on your rock collection.

    • Thank you so very much! My collection is mostly minerals but I do have rock samples too. I am planning to do a post on my collection at some point, just not sure when, part of my continuing tour of my place. Still have a lot to show yet from my various collections. Have a great day!😃
