Nature’s Art #13.

This is a fantastic tree, white pine, very large and healthy.

Happy Monday once again everyone!  Here I sit where it’s nice and warm, close to my heater.  Muffin is at her usual spot at the window.  She had her morning playtime and breakfast so now she is content to look at whatever she looks at out there.  The birds are not here yet.  Sometimes I think she is just hopeful the snow will suddenly disappear and spring will be here again.  It is a nice thought.  A distant thought however.  We both have “it” now.  “Cabin Fever” is the “it”.  And it’s getting bad already.  Sigh.  It’s always bad when Cabin Fever hits before the New Year.  Because it always lasts until spring.  Which as I mentioned is a distant thought yet.  Oh well.

In the meantime, we can look at some of the art from nature…

Just a nice little bunch of raspberry leaves changing color.  The leaf patterns showing up so nicely at that point.IMG_8792

The simplicity of some white pine needles that had fallen on a lichen  covered granite rock.  I thought it looked so nice and beautifully cut off, by a squirrel perhaps?

And there we have the wonders of art found in nature once again.  Thanks so much for stopping by to take a look, I hope you have a wonderful day and God bless!

  1. Beautiful, Steve! Spring does arrive but so often the main event is winter. in Alaska. We have 8-9 months of it. So I understand cabin fever. Love Muffin’s attitude of looking out the window. May the winter months fly by quickly! Happy New Year!

      • Yes and eight now we have 3 hours and 21 hours of dalight. The sun goes from Southeast to southwest just above the horizon. We are now gaining daylight until June when we have the midnight sun. It was -40 F and -40 C a couple days ago but is a little warmer. I love the sparklr in thr snow and call them diamonds in the snow and the dancing Northern Lights. Enjoy the season you are in! Blessings!

      • Oh my, I couldn’t handle that little daylight, I have a hard enough time here. I haven’t seen the northern lights this winter yet. But it’s hard to see them in town anyway unless they are putting on a real big show. Yep, I enjoy summer season.😎🌞 Winter is just too cold to enjoy.😂🥶 Have a great day!😃😺⛄🌲

  2. Could cabin fever be disguised as boredom? Perhaps you need a change of scenery. Like a walk in the park or an afternoon at the local mall or something where you’re out of the house.

    • Unfortunately walking isn’t yet possible. Sigh. We don’t have a mall. I do go out for coffee with a friend here, but that doesn’t last long enough. And the lack of birds this winter doesn’t help either. Actually cabin fever is more than just boredom, has to do with lack of daylight, much like SAD. I usually take vit D in winter but haven’t been doing that regularly this winter, that actually helps a bit. Cabin fever can actually lead to depression in people. Once I’m able to get around properly again it won’t be so bad. Still can’t do much yet though there is some improvement each week. New assessment today.
