Good morning everyone on this slightly snowy morning! We seem to be back to that cloudy weather again. But this time of year that means milder temps, so that is a plus. Clouds in the summer means cooler temps, most of the time anyway, though there are exceptions. The birds were very hungry yesterday, really going through those sunflower seeds. Nice that things are busy out there again. And there was that one very red male purple finch again yesterday. But for some reason he always disappears when I come out with my camera. The duller red male will stay around, but not that bright one. There is only the two that I have seen, though there may be more. I won’t really know unless I seem them all together.
And now, some bright wildflower pics for a dull cloudy day…
Here is a bright white, and somewhat fuzzy looking, meadowsweet to start things off for us. And it even has a friend up on top.
And the beautiful bright pink of the deptford pink. Yes, the flower is called a pink, and not because it’s pink, since pinks come in different colors. For example, there are white pinks and red pinks. But this one is a pink pink.
Well, there it is for today, and both are wildflowers this time. I hope you have a great day and God bless!
Steve and Muffin.
