Hello everyone and welcome to the 20th post of the art in nature series! I do hope you have been enjoying this series and looking at so many different things around us that showcase the beauty of nature that God has given us to enjoy. It is really amazing, if we just stop and look, at all the different types of beauty there is around us. And you don’t need a country location, though I admit there is more to see in the country. But even in the city there is much natural beauty to be found. Just go out and look around. Soon it will be spring and that pale green will start to show in the trees, quickly changing to various shades of darker greens. Grass will begin to grow and fill out so nicely. Flowers will begin to peek out of the ground, little green shoots at first, followed by those bulging flower buds and then the full flower to enjoy.
But until then, let’s enjoy some of last year’s summer beauty…
First we have these beautiful bright pink puffballs, named, “stalked puffball-in-aspic”. There are actually a few different varieties with minor differences between them. It is quite something to walk along and come across these amazing puffballs.
And here is one of several different varieties of cup fungus, only one is truly edible and it’s not this one. This variety is poisonous and best to stay away from it.
There we have our selection for today. I’m slowly identifying my mushrooms, not an easy task sometimes and some I will need to examine more closely this year to properly identify them, since I missed certain characteristics in some of my pics. I hope you all are having a great day and God bless!
Steve and Muffin.
