Phlox

Good morning everyone!  Well, we are in the second half of March now and that means that spring is not far away.  I hope it’s not far away at least.  Officially the first day of spring begins on Friday I think, according to my calendar anyway.  That might work okay further south, but it doesn’t really mean much up here in the north.  However, if the forecast is correct, then some warmer temps will arrive next week.  By warmer I mean that the temp will finally get up in the 30sF (2 or 3C).  But that’s better than what we have so I would be very happy.  So will Muffin.  She did predict an early spring after all.  Not much time left for that.  It would have to get quite warm for the snow to be gone by the end of March now.  Oh well, she tried her best, and it was her first year doing this as well.

So now let’s have our look at some sunny flower pics for today…

marigold 3

And what could be sunnier than a nice bright marigold from last summer.  This is a very common garden annual flower around here.IMG_4653

And now a nice bright white Iceland poppy with sunny center aiming itself toward the morning sunshine.

I hope you have enjoyed today’s look at the beauty of summer sunshine.  And wherever you live today, I hope you have a good day and God bless!

  2. Thank God …
I live in Lebanon that has now in most areas temperatures that are warmer than Canada but the economic development is higher and economic situation there is generally better than that of Lebanon generally …
Sure , there are the poor and rich everywhere but Canada is a developed nation while Lebanon is a developing country…

      • It is warmer sure …depending on the altitude but where I live it is between 45 and 55 F or 15 C and 24 C raining but snowing on the high mountains…

      • Yep. Ours too. I went grocery shopping today. Got there early—got crowded as I was leaving. Plenty of TP, but a one pack limit. Sshhh, don’t tell anyone, but after living in India for five years, we stopped using TP.
Interesting to see the things people were buying. Ok, you’ve got two weeks—go! Sure is interesting times we are living in.🤔🙀💩

      • Yep, interesting times for sure. Hopefully it doesn’t last too long like this. We still have it okay, except for things shutting down, but it can change so very fast it seems.😬
But the sun keeps shining, if I have to stay inside more, I’ll write more!😁😸 Doesn’t help for pictures though,😕 hmm, need to figure that out.🤔📷Off to bed for me.🙂😴

    • Thanks Chrissy!
No virus up here yet although it is getting closer. But our town is starting to shut down anyway due to a provincial state of emergency. Store shelves are getting very empty as people are really hoarding stuff way too much. I can’t do that so it might start getting tough. And food prices are climbing. But, it could be much worse. How’s things your way?

      • Australia in state of emergency. Hoarders here too; worse in the capitals cities. People are buying whatever they see then complain if their gluten free pasta turns to a horrid mush while us people allergic to gluten/wheat go with out. Major food stores are limiting amounts of pasta, rice, toilet paper, paper towels, sanitizers etc but it to late. At least the major stores now open doors earlier for aged and disabled so we’re not trampled. sigh… our world has gone nuts. I’m only going out when I have medical and dentist appointments and go into shops when there’s fewer people. I may have to join that early morning queue if I run low on some items. I can only do a shop on pension days. Yesterday I left the store with 5 items I needed…gluten free. The rest I will have to go without.

      • I know, I’m Celiac, I need gluten free food, can’t buy it in town, Amazon is sold out with a 3 to 5 week wait. I have enough for 2 weeks, maybe 3 if I stretch it a bit, then what? I just can’t believe going into the stores today trying to find some food, nothing but empty shelves, I have never seen that before, it’s quite amazing. But hopefully it’s only for a short time. I hope you can enjoy your day Chrissy!😃😺🌞
