For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Hello everyone and welcome back! I hope your day is going well. It is nice and sunny here, but still cold. Tomorrow the weather is supposed to warm up a bit and stay that way, meaning that spring will begin! That’s a nice thought. I’m waiting for the snow to melt so I can get out and start walking my path down to the river once again. I will have to take it slow and easy at first, and perhaps won’t actually make it to the river for the first week, but I will get there eventually. And even part way walking will be nice. Just to get out and walk a bit through the forest, listening to the birds singing, looking for new birds as they return from the south. Watching the squirrels as they become more active. And, of course, the return of the chipmunks as they wake up from their winter nap and start to carry peanuts back to their homes once again. Muffin is especially looking forward to the chipmunks coming back to the deck again. She gets so excited.
And, for now, let’s look at more beautiful mushrooms today, something else I am looking forward to doing, is getting more mushroom pics…
And here we have the “sharp-scaly pholiota”, a very bright colored mushroom and very easy to see from a longer distance. This pic was taken on a very heavy overcast day and yet it came out very nice.
And here it is once again from underneath, and still it really glows. I think I used this pic before but didn’t know the name at that time, but now we know. I had to lay on my back to get this picture. It’s growing on a rotting red pine log. There was quite a number of them. It wasn’t easy getting to this spot, but when I saw these bright mushrooms I just had to go over and get some pics.
Well, that’s it for now, I hope you all have a wonderful day and God bless!
Steve and Muffin.

God is in everyone and everything, after the winter comes the spring ,
The bells of joy start to ring ,
Rebirth of livelihood is a wonderful thing ,
The divine is here , there and everywhere,
For all of us , God would care ,
Dare to believe that life is fair ,
In the darkness of the night,
Stars could be shining bright,
The moonlight shows up in our sight ,
Being from the divine light ,
Things are marvelous and white,
With God , by your side , nothing to fear and nothing to fright,
Gather in love and with the almighty God unite ,
Our powers we gather and
May almighty God , the warm flames of justice and love in the world ignite

Hi Steve :
The photos are beautiful. Thanks for reminding us all that God is incredibly detail-oriented. The more we train ourselves to see the magnificence all around us in nature, the more joyful we become. 😁

Yes, that is so true Sally, God has created things with amazing detail, which we often miss unfortunately. But so much beauty surrounds us. Thanks for stopping by!😃😺🌞🍄

mushrooms are few and far between in my “yard” even though it has been very wet here recently.

In the forested area across the street which goes down to the river there are an amazing number of different mushrooms. I was surprised by the variety and numbers. Hopefully I can get pics of the spring mushrooms this year. Have a great day Buddy!
