Good morning everyone on this very beautiful, sunny morning! The warmth has returned, there is a light south wind blowing bringing in some hot weather once more, starting tomorrow. Though even today is going to be nice with a high of 81F (27C). And the sun is supposed to shine all day, which is super nice. Sir George and Lady Pearl were here first this morning and were the only gulls to arrive today so far. It was beautiful once again watching the sunrise, there is just such a wonderful golden glow to everything just as the sun peeks over the horizon. The suns bright rays bringing that morning warmth to everything they touch. The hummingbirds were busy at the feeder quite early this morning, even the goldfinches were waiting for me to bring out their feeders, normally they don’t come around so early.

Skamper was the first chipmunk, followed by Skatter and Coffee. Then Skitter showed up and last was Pocket today, which is odd, guess he slept late today. Watching all the chipmunks this morning I counted 6 of them, not five as before. Coffee is the smallest, then Skatter, Skitter and Skamper are the same size, then there is Pocket and a new chipmunk the same size as Pocket. And he has the biggest tail I have ever seen on a chipmunk. So now I need another new name for him. At least he’s easy to identify. Interesting that I only get male chipmunks around here, there must be some females in the area. However, I’m not sure about Coffee yet. A new squirrel showed up yesterday as well, he came around in the evening when Jasper was here. He’s a big squirrel so Jasper decided not to get into a “discussion” with him. Runner better be careful too.

Well, I guess it’s time for our pics for today. The featured image at the top is a geranium from my little container garden. I really like the two tone white and pink look of those flowers.

In the picture above is a beautifully patterned dark pink hollyhock from my landlord’s garden. It doesn’t look like she will have many hollyhocks blooming this year for some reason. This particular flower is 4 inches (10cm) across. They are a wonderful addition to any old fashioned or country garden. I hope you all have a wonderful day and God bless!

    • All I can tell from my detective info is that he posted 7 hours ago and commented 7 hours ago. Now, that’s never correct, but I’ll give it to you this time.
      I’m kinda on your side… so try to beat Simon tomorrow cuz I won’t be here again. Gotta babysit again. Most exhausting job ever!!!!

        It is… almost made me decide that I don’t wanna be a mom, but I guess I can train my kids differently so they won’t be like the spoiled kids I watch.

    • In this case “old fashioned” is not meant in a bad way, just that gardens years ago nearly always had hollyhocks and gardens today seldom have them.😕 So they are a must have flower for those who want to achieve that old fashioned look from years ago.😁🌺🌺 Also referred to as a country garden look.
      It will take a long time for my health to get back to normal unfortunately.😕🤪 But today I feel quite good😀🤸‍♂️ after yesterday being a terrible day, so maybe I can go walking today.🚶‍♂️🏞 I hope you had a good day Simon!😁 Please stay safe, don’t take chances!😃 Muffin meows “hi”!😺😸

      • I love old fashion 😉 but not in every way 😁 but nature, I’ll always stick with ancient practices 😁 and I didn’t meant that too 😸 Have you tried other immune boosters 😳 I’m sure you have other methods of immune boosters to have everyday 😃. Do try and stay safe. I’m making a minor renovation, my kitchen and house paint colors 😁 so I’ll be home until Sunday 😉 but the house is a mess now 🙄 having hard time to sleep after all works 😵 I hate to see.my thing’s so dusty now 😳 Have to clean all of them and I don’t have all day 😵 they have to finish everything before Sunday so that I can have a busy Sunday 😹. Let’s see 😉

      • Hey, that’s great Simon!😁 Renovations are so much fun,😄 especially when it’s all done!😂 I always enjoyed doing renovations, even just painting a room can make such a big difference to the look of the room.😀😸 I want to rearrange my furniture, I can’t do it myself, I will need to get help for that.🤔 But I need to figure out how to do it,🤔 where to put everything, before I get helpers over here to move stuff.😜 I would also like to get rid of some more stuff so this would be a good time to do it.😁 Having a big birthday party on Sunday?🤔🥳 Or is Nisha coming home?😃😺

      • Nothing special Steve, it’s been 8 years, and since then I hardly made changes in my house, now it’s corona time and I thought I can give some work to the business supporters of my dad, people are jobless while I earn and do nothing, I planned to invest my money so that someone can earn in this lockdown. Tats too much to say, but this is where everything began. by August I’m expecting Nisha to come here, for that I’ll make a long drive to her place 😁 can’t wait to drive that long 😍 and my fav colour blue varient is getting painted in my hall 😉. You better get some help for everything, why take risk, just for few months, try not to do much and recover your health. But keep walking as much as you can. My grandma always use to say, keep walking 🤗 Have a wonderful day Steve ✨

Yes, I will definitely get help moving the furniture, I just need to make sure everything will fit where I want it, so a lot of careful measuring is necessary!😁 I have too much stuff!       • Thanks Simon! It was a great day, only ended up with some minor scrapes and bruises, oh, and I guess a rather sore back, but it was amazing!😁🌞 And soon to bed.😴 I think.🤔 If the pain settles down.😳

      • Muffin just woke up from her evening nap, she’ll be up until midnight, then she naps until about 3 am. Then she’s up until I feed her breakfast, then she naps until my breakfast.😂😂😹😹 But now I’m signing off and going to bed, good night Simon!😴🌙😴

  8. I love geraniums and I’m sorry I’m Singapore I can’t find them…I guess is not their favorite climate 🌸

    • Too bad they are not available there, but yes, the climate is probably not good for them.
      There are a couple hollyhock flowers blooming now that are 12.5cm across, just beautiful!
      I had a great day, nice walk, good rest and I actually saw a bird that I have never seen here before, it really surprised me!

    • Gumamela flowers are hibiscus flowers, but they do look like the hollyhock, not related though. Thanks for taking a look! Have a great night!😀😺🌞☕☕

      • I see… I can always rely on you with flowers. I bet Muffin is feeling very lucky to be one of the girls beside you 😁 Yeah I sure will have… I’m resume 20/20 marathon soon after this. Haha
