Good morning and Happy Monday everyone! It is a beautiful morning and we are supposed to see some sun here today. It is nice to have that sun shining even if it is rather cold. It is -17C (2F) this morning so it definitely qualifies for being chilly. Seeing the sun shining can make people feel happy. But yet, being happy is a choice we make each day. We can choose to be happy, or we can choose to be miserable and grumpy. Which is better? Personally I would rather be happy than miserable. And no matter what kind of day it is, sunny, cloudy, hot, cold, snowy, I still choose to be happy. Now, I may prefer a hot summer day to a cold winter day, but that doesn’t mean I’m not happy. That’s why right under my site name it says, “For a smile as wide as a country sunrise”.
Jasper was here yesterday afternoon picking up his peanuts. But just before that he was running around chasing the blue jays again. So I opened the door a bit and tossed some peanuts out on the step. Jasper can move fast when he wants to and this time was no exception. He got over to the door and inside before I had a chance to close the door! Fortunately by opening the door wider he spotted the peanuts, ran back outside, grabbed one and was gone. Since only two blue jays were here at the time, Jasper managed to get a few peanuts to take away back home. Or wherever he put them. Now, when Jasper came inside, Muffin was in the kitchen eating her afternoon meal, not quite sure what to call it. But since it’s after lunch I figure that maybe “lafter” would be a good name for her snack. Anyway, I’m glad she was in the kitchen or she would have had fresh Jasper for lunch, I mean “lafter”. And that would be no laughing matter! That was too close anyway.
For today we have a male and female pine grosbeak, the female has the beautiful gold highlights and the male is a nice red. I hope you all have a marvelous Monday and God bless!
Steve and Muffin.
