Coffee At Steve’s Country #44. Trees And Water.

Good morning everyone on this bright and sunny Saturday! It’s time for some more coffee and I have a nice fresh pot made and ready for everyone. Plus, something special, coffee muffins, freshly made. And when I say coffee muffins, that’s what I mean. These muffins are made with coffee and what a nice flavor too. What could be better to start off the day than coffee and muffins that taste like coffee. Perfect. They may not look perfect, but they sure do taste good. It’s another cold day, but you probably expected that. This is a long cold snap. This is day 10 and according to the forecast there are at least 2 more days to go. Unless things change. And that can happen. Anyway, it’s just as cold as yesterday.

A beautiful summer day at the river.

But the sun is shining nicely and that always makes things look more cheerful. And by next weekend our temperatures should be back to normal again. It is going to warm up slightly over the next few days, but still staying below normal for temps, until next weekend. Hopefully. So far this morning I have seen 2 blue jays and 2 chickadees. Not exactly a busy morning for birds. Seems like there is getting to be fewer birds each day. I’m showing a couple of nice summer pics today from down at the river, showing trees with the river off in the background. I like trees, and water. Put the two together and you have some beautiful scenery. And right now I like thinking about summer. It’s just the way I am. Everyone has their likes and dislikes, I just happen to prefer summer over winter.

There is now 2 redpolls out on the feeder. They are coming in 2’s today. Yesterday the unthinkable happened. At least I don’t like thinking about it. My water froze. It would take too long to write about that just now, perhaps later. It was quite the day yesterday. I am still in a lot of pain because of it. Another reason why I prefer summer over winter. Oh well. Hmm, I don’t see any birds out there right now. Oops, wrong, the chickadees just came back. Yep, I’m just kind of rambling this morning, not really saying much. Sometimes that happens. Right now the sun is shining in the window right on my shelves of insulators, really making them sparkle and showing…dust! Must dust those things today, that’s terrible.   2. Now , in February , the days with sunshine are getting longer every day by a few minutes each and every day plus the sun rays are reaching in a more perpendicular or vertical angle to the ground causing more sun warmth than the days of January …

    • Yes, normally the days wouldn’t be so cold in February, but we sometimes get winters where the coldest weather arrives this month, like this year.

  3. Oh…cold here too and maybe some winter weather…aka. .ice and snow. Not normal for Mississippi and hopefully won’t last long. there is something so comforting about holding a hot cup …coffee or tea…..maybe even hot cocoa with marshmellows

My comment supposed to be the first 😳🙄 Actually I was a bit late 😂 I prefer summer to Canada seriously 🧐 getting water frozen😳 not good, I told you once to burn some woods, that would have kept you warm😸 see, so how did you do everything with a frozen water 🤔🙄 that’s a lovely morning with insulators sunshine 😍😍 have a beautiful day 🥂🎉🥳

    • Yes, you were a bit late, but that’s okay, you’re here, that’s the main thing!🥳🥳 I managed to get the water working again after a few hours, but I hurt myself a lot doing it,😬😕 my back and neck are terrible now,🤕 didn’t get much sleep last night,🥱 but I did get a nap this afternoon.😴 Yep, the sun shining on those insulators is beautiful!🌞🤓 All those different colors sparkling in the sunshine, just great!😁😸🌞 It was a very nice day.       • Yes Uncle Steve🥺 I should do. You know today I wanted to visit but my homeopathic hospital is closed, I am planning to visit tomorrow if I have another long coughing night today, it is the second time, no no, third ummm fourth I think 🤔 I only cough at night 😢 not sure what is this crap, I only cough at night 😭. Hope I could sleep tonight 🙄 this sleepless night is bringing me other complications. Hope it gets cured soon. Will keep you posted and yes I am visiting hospital😉 tomorrow.

      • I’m sure it’s not covid, I’m afraid of pneumonia as the cold in lungs are quiet heavy and deep🙄 and it’s not just cough it’s wet cough, no fever, healthy at day, sick at night, sounds strange 🤔 yes I’ll be very careful with this, not to play around with such disease. I suppose to sleep now, feeling a bit sleepy and cough too. I wish I could sleep ☺️ let’s see. Have a beautiful: Sunday Steve 🤗🤗🤗

      • Hi Uncle Steve, very good morning, I did I did I did, I got a bad cough during day, I had to see him. He said I have got common viral infection because of cold winds 🙄 got medicines. let’s see how it works 🤗😉Thanks for the reminder Steve 😍🥰

      • Yes it is 🙄😭 terrible 😳 Lost few nights not ready to lose anymore, except tonight I think 😳🤔 cough is better now(reduced) I’ll be alright it seems 😍😁 or maybe a little cough tonight 🙄whatever let the medicine workout ☺️

      • the medicine helped me release the mucus from lungs, but that’s another long story of coughing 😂😅 I’m tired of coughing 😳🧐 I am gng to sleep in office that’s for sure 🤤😅😂

    • Thanks Eugenia! The water is working fine again, now to just get me working fine again too. Glad you enjoyed the muffins, something new I tried and they really are delicious! Now I can try some other coffee flavored baking too.😀😺☕☕🧁🧁🌞
