Spring Green, A Poem.

Spring Green

As I walked about today,

‘Midst the sunshine’s warming ray,

Right down there, on forest floor,

A bit of green, then some more.

So nice to see, this bright green,

First of spring, that I have seen.

This new growth, so fresh and pure,

Gives such hope, to all, for sure.

It is so nice, when I see,

Spring’s new life, in front of me.

Soon more will come, and abound,

Giving joy, to all around.

  5. We went right into summer…
    The heat is gonna be a bummer …
    the fires it brings
    And things that sting 🐝
    But summer is still my fave
    I love the ocean and to ride that wave 😄😘

    Summer nights are truly the best…
    possibly better than all the rest? Lol

    Summer – that’s my season 😀❤️

    We did jump right into summer lol – we are hot and tomorrow starting at 11am.. we have fire watch ALREADY!!! Here we go 😳 (getting way too old for this lol)

    • Hey, great poem Trisha!😃 Yes, I love summer best too, it’s just so short up here, but sooooo beautiful!🌞😎🌲🌼🌳 Wow, fire watch, that seems early.🔥 We’re doing okay up here so far, supposed to get rain and snow overnight!😳 Hard to believe there is still snow in the forecast,🙄 this is May! But yes, we do get snow in May, and sometimes in June too.😬 Terrible thought really! Getting too old?😲 Can’t be, you’re not even 50 yet,😁 you’re not old until you turn 65. At least that’s what I keep saying, maybe it should be 75 instead!🤔😂😹😃🌞

      • Our summer is awesome too – except with the wind … because heat, dry Tinder and wind does not work well together 🤨🤷‍♀️

        It’s currently dry, hot and very very windy!! 🤨 fire watch just started half hour ago.

        You should definitely send the rain – you can keep the snow lol ✌️😘

        Almost there lol … but true that is not old – only life makes me feel that way lol

        But actually since I work with death – that is not old… I would say maybe 80+ then I can freely say that lol ✌️😘

        But ya know who knows what’s gonna happen… I’ve had cancer and things … so never leave anything unsaid right? 😄😘✌️

        I’m just covering my bases lol 😄✌️😘 #notmissingout lol

      • I would prefer to keep the rain and send the snow!😂 It smells so fresh with the rain right now,😃 but it is cooling off fast this evening.😬 Well, as the saying goes, you’re only feeling as old as you are. No wait, that’s not it.🤔 You feel older than you are. Nope, not it either.🤔😳 You always feel older than you look. No, that’s not it.🤔😬 Well, it’s a saying anyway, you probably know it.😁 Who makes up these sayings anyway?😒 Just to make guys like me look stupid, that’s what it’s all about.😳🙄 Oh well. I’ll probably remember it later.🙄 80+, I like that better than mine, I’ll go with that one too.😁😺

        It is evening here but still warm!! I got shorts and tank top on right now!! ❤️🙌❤️ ahhhhh So comfortable 🙌

        You can sleep naked if you wanted 🙌 lol totally!

        The saying is “you are only as old as you feel” lol

        But I went through a lot so currently just slower older ✌️ taking it in still. Not a spring chicken lol ✌️😄

        I know all those clichés and sayings lol 😄✌️ or most anyway. I grew up with all of them lol

        Yes 🙌 my temp with that amazing breeze is currently amazing ❤️❤️❤️

      • Hmm, somehow I missed this one, not sure how that happened.🤔 Wow, nice and warm, that’s perfect weather.😁🌞 Oh my, I don’t think I like that saying, today I feel like I’m 100!!😳 I don’t want to be there quite yet!😂 Well, we didn’t get any snow, but it is cold here,🥶 only 39 and it’s almost time for lunch.😬 The rain has stopped too which is nice.😃 Enjoy your day Trisha!😀😺☕☕🌞

        Hahaha I feel older than am – but I had breast cancer and other things so am tired. It took a lot to get through / I had to give up my life for everything

        But I am also very strong woman lol … so I will just say that lol 😘✌️

      • I agree, you are a strong woman to go through all that and not giving up.😃 Well, we’re much warmer today, it’s 41F!🌞😂😹 We are colder than normal though,🥶 we should be in the mid to high 60s now.😃 You can have our rain if you want, we have more than enough🙄 and there’s more coming over the next couple of weeks.😳

        We were in 80’s .. but my AC’s are all broken 😮 I working on fixing that currently 😝 it gets hot 🥵

        We have none!! All the wild grasses are now yellow . Aka tinder for fire 🔥

        Lots of pollen around though

      • Temps in the 80s would be so nice,🌞🌴😎 we don’t usually get that until late June or July.😕 But it should still be warmer than it is now.😬 We might get up to 50 today,🙄 but somehow I doubt it with that north wind blowing still.😳 You don’t need AC yet, that’s just nice warm temps,😛 enjoy!😁🤸‍♂️ Wow, drying up already, that’s not good.😲 Very wet here right now. But that’s good, gives a good start to the growing season.😀😺🌲🌳

        Oh no is very very hot – AC needed!!

        My area is like little house on prairie – in winter is green cause all the rain … spring summer and fall dies and turns yellow – fire tinder

        The city’s out here rent goats from local farmer and place them around the city to eat everything lol

        Food for goats – helps both farmers and cities 🙌❤️✌️

        Hey, that’s a cool idea, use goat’s as a way to prevent fires. Hmm, good place to go into the goat rental business, make a fortune!😁
        We were up to 46F today!😎🌞😂 People are still wearing winter jackets and gloves in the morning.😳 Sigh. It will get warmer. I hope.🙄 This might be a cold summer, happens sometimes.😬🧊

        Yours is different lol … I promise you – where in Canada are you – are you East or West?

        Is also earth friendly and supports our local farmers ❤️ takes care of the cities and grasses … win win all around ❤️

        I will not be having a cold summer – mine is hot with hot heat ✌️

      • Hey, all heat is hot heat.😎🌴 You just get a lot more of it than we do, a lot more.🙄😳 We sometimes get summers where a hot day is 75F!😬 But we can also get summers where it hits 100F, and we can have weeks of temps between 90 and 100.😃😸🌞 We haven’t had that for several years now though.😳🙄 Just like our winters getting longer and colder, our summers are getting shorter and colder. Sigh.🙄 I live in the wrong climate. A nice tropical island is for me!😂😹🌴I live right in the middle of the country basically, but a bit more west, then north. North of Minnesota.🙂
        Right now I would be happy with even a week of your heat.🙄 It was snowing here this morning!!!🥶❄❄ Snowing!!!❄❄ On May 6th!😲😲 Think I will hibernate a bit longer.😂😹

      • There is a difference between east coast heat and west coast heat …

        Ours is hot dry heat
        Theirs is wet heat (they have humidity we don’t really)

        We having really LONG fire seasons lately – lot of drought

        Yeah I would totally be hibernating in any cold areas lol

      • Yes, that’s true, dry heat is better, humid heat can be hard. Here we mostly have a drier type heat, which is odd considering all the water we have with lakes everywhere, rivers too. 🏞🌞
        Our fire season is usually from the end of May to the end of September,🌲🔥🌳 though officially it starts and ends earlier and later.

      • Our fire season can be whenever we heat up can range from February to May … and last until November 🤨

        This year started in May

        So let’s see when ends 😳
