They want to blow up everything and everyone, that’s why it’s such a big bomb. And that’s why the people upstairs want to leave in a hurry when we show up, rather than staying to fight. But why such a big bomb? A smaller one would kill Anthony and that’s who they want to kill anyway. They don’t know who Candace is…or do they? Killing both Anthony and Candace would get rid of both heirs, just like getting rid of their older sister. That would just leave their brother, but he wants nothing to do with the family or the business. Then it hit me, that’s the bomb’s secret, it is meant to kill everyone to get them out of the way. This whole thing was done to get Anthony and Candace close together in order to kill them.
Now, can I get us all out of here alive? I told Candace to get ready with M.C. so he could open that lock while I disarm the bomb with Muffin. I noticed the bomb also has a timer on it, but it was not being used. So I need to fix things so we can use that timer which will get us out of here alive. I hope. Providing the timer actually works. I study it carefully. “What if you do something wrong,” whispered Candace. “Well, we certainly won’t know it,” I answered. “That doesn’t make me feel better Steve,” she said. I smiled. Okay, I need to remove this wire, which I do slowly. Still alive. I give the wire to Muffin to hold for me. I take another wire and connect it to the timer.
“Okay,” I said, “hold M.C. up to the lock.” She did and he had it open quickly. “Okay, everyone leave while I finish this,” I said. Meow, meow=Me not leave you, I stay. Meow.=Yep, me too, we together stay or together go. Candace just stood there with her hands on her hips and told me to hurry. I hook up the other wire, push this button and we have 3 minutes. We start going up the stairs and I fired my gun 3 times and yelled, “he’s down here!” The two people upstairs took off running for their car and drove away fast as they could! We were running through the trees by that time and then the house exploded with a loud roar! We made it back to the car and everyone hopped in.
I stood outside for a couple minutes and made a phone call. Then I got in and we started to drive, fast. “You’re going the wrong way Steve, we should be heading back to our office,” said Candace. “And that’s exactly what the competition will be thinking we will do,” I said, “so we’ll do something they are not expecting.” “You were the right man to hire for this job,” she said smiling. “I hope you keep thinking that way,” I said with a more serious look. Candace looked puzzled but she didn’t say anything. After a while Candace said, “this is really a long way around.” She still had that puzzled look. “I know what I’m doing, honest,” I said, “the whole point is to deliver Anthony safe, and alive.” “True,” she said, “but…
“No, we do things my way,” I said again. “Okay, you’re right again,” she said smiling once more. “But we are going to get some different transportation for the next part of our journey,” I said, “and I will explain, but I can’t at the moment.” And I nodded toward Anthony in the back seat playing with the cats. She nodded in agreement. We got to a larger town which had an airport and I parked the car. “Okay everyone, out we go to find a plane,” I said. Sure enough, going around the building, there was a nice private jet waiting for us. “Are you serious?” asked Candace, “how did you arrange for that jet?” “I have connections,” I said, “let’s not waste time.”
And we ran over to the jet and got on board. The door was quickly closed and we were on our way. “Are you sure that the crew is trustworthy?”, asked Candace. “Oh yes,” I said and once in the air out came a man, “This is Mr. Baxter, also known as my friend Baldwin,” I said, “and this is his jet.” “And I brought someone with me too Steve,” he said, and out came Kat. Meow, meow.=Oh, that nice way for them to say hi. Meow.=How they can say hi when kissing? Meow, meow.=That how they say hi, with kiss, no need to say words. Meow.=Oh, that good way then. “I wonder if he’ll get around to introducing me to his girlfriend?”, said Candace to Baldwin. “Oh, I’m sure he’ll remember at some point,” he said with his boisterous laugh. “Oh, sorry,” I said, “Kat, this is my wife Candace.” “WHAT??”, she screamed.
