For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Hello everyone and welcome back to another week of wildflowers with Steve and Muffin! Today’s wildflower is the “Lindley’s Aster”. This is a native wildflower that is a nice pale blue color and the plant will grow from 1 to 3 feet (30 to 90cm) tall. It enjoys sun or partial shade and grows in open woods, forest edges, roadsides and fields. The leaves are somewhat thin and heart shaped, especially toward the base of the plant, less heart shaped further up the stem and because of the leaves it is sometimes called the “northern heart-leaved aster”. It blooms from August to October and the flowers are generally about 1 inch (2.5cm) across. It can be found across Canada and the northern US states and is one of our most common wild asters. I hope you have a wonderful day everyone and God bless!
Steve and Muffin.

Hi Bruce, sorry about that, but I haven’t been able to get to your blog, just comes up saying that it has been deleted by the site owner. And you don’t show up in my reader or email anymore either. I have had that problem with 5 people so far. Was talking with one woman last night about it and she gave me a link in the comments and then I was able to get on her blog. Could you leave me a link here please? I would like to get back there again, just didn’t have any way to get in touch. Even clicking on your name here doesn’t help, same with the woman last night. Hope all is going well out there in the tropics!ππΊππ΄
