Monday’s Musings #18.
Good morning everyone! I hope you are all feeling well this morning and ready for another exciting day! Even if it’s not an exciting day. After all, not every day needs to be exciting. Actually it’s kind of nice to have an unexciting day once in a while. They can be quite relaxing. I found out yesterday evening who that squirrel is that has been around gathering walnuts. He came up on the deck last evening to get some sunflower seeds for his snack, and take a few peanuts away too. Once I saw that long reddish tail I knew right away it was Freddie. Must admit I was hoping it would be Jasper or Jasmine. Freddie was always a mean one with the chipmunks. And he still is.
Poor Coffee showed up not realizing that there was a squirrel back and…wham…Freddie was after him in a flash! But Coffee made it easily off the deck and unfortunately Freddie stopped in time. I was kind of hoping he would go over the edge too and land on his nose and bounce around a bit. Just so he would learn not to chase my chipmunks. Okay, so I’m terrible. But I do like my chipmunks. You don’t see chipmunks chasing squirrels. Well, not normally anyway. We’ll see if Freddie decides to keep coming around. If so I might have to try and train him not to chase my chipmunks. He looks intelligent enough to learn. Hopefully.
Yesterday morning I put some food out for the crows. I still have a little gull food that I need to get rid of so I’m putting a little out each morning for the crows until it’s gone. I just barely got it out and I hear this screeching as a white bird came flying in and landing on the feeder. It was Rickie! So I stood there and talked to him while he picked up his food. He’s nice and friendly and doesn’t mind talking for a bit. He doesn’t need to pick up food quite so fast now that the other gulls are gone. But that screeching entry did startle me a bit. Especially since I’m always thinking about bears when I go out that early. Not that I would expect a bear to screech like that, but I’m not expecting anything to screech. Oh well. It was nice to see him anyway. Have a very wonderful Monday everyone and God bless!

Yep, chickadees look the same everywhere, if they are this kind anyway.😁 Wary is good, just so long as I don’t jump out of my skin!😂😹🌞☕☕

Wow, that is a great idea!😃 I have been doing some cleaning today as well,😀 but not my whole apartment though.🙄 I have to do just a little at a time because of my health.😳😸
