Sunny Sunday. #5

Hello everyone! I am very late with my post today, but things happen sometimes. It is a nice cloudy day, with a temperature of 10F (-12C) at the moment. We had an inch (2.5cm) of snow last night and we are supposed to get another inch tonight. Then tomorrow night we get a bit more, about 4 to 6 inches (10 to 15cm) is expected. That could make the path to the river a little too hard for walking, so I hope to try for a walk tomorrow afternoon before that new snow arrives.

Nice bright dahlia.

It will be nice and mild so should make for a very enjoyable walk. The birds have been very busy again today. Counting the redpolls this afternoon there were definitely more that 40 of them, I would say closer to 50 or more, but they kept flying back into the trees before I could finish counting. Plus I never could tell how many were on the ground, but there were a lot of them. And they filled all the feeders, plus more in the trees. I never could get past 42 in my counting before they would fly off.

Counting all the different birds visiting, there are now around 200 or more. It is definitely getting to be a busy place out there! Muffin is enjoying things a bit more too. The milder weather has meant the frost has gone from the windows, so now she can watch all the action outside. She does prefer watching the squirrels though, which is kind of interesting.

A nice sunny dahlia.

Hmm, there is a whole new flock of chickadees coming in from across the street. I seem to have lost my 4 white-breasted nuthatches though, I have not seen any now for 2 weeks. Hopefully they will come back once the weather stays milder. Some more of that bitter cold is coming back this week though. But today we can enjoy the sunshine of summer for a little bit. Enjoy the photos and thank you for stopping by today! Have a beautiful day and God bless!
