Musings For Monday. #6

Good morning everyone! It is a nice morning, a little on the cloudy side, but nice. And continuing milder which is also nice. We are actually supposed to get two days this week with temps in the 34F (1C) range this week. Hard to believe really, but it sure sounds good anyway. However, we often get some very mild weather like that in February, and usually followed by a big snowstorm. That part is not so nice sounding. But I do not see anything like that in the forecast right now, so that is good.

I noticed yesterday that the fellow with the snowmobile has gone down the path to the river again, so that will make for better walking. I hope to try a walk down there tomorrow, if all goes well. However, it is going to be very windy, giving a wind chill down around -22F (-30C), so it will be a bit uncomfortable, especially right at the river. Oh well, might have to wait until Tuesday, that is when we have one of our warm days. So that will be even nicer. Warm days. That has such a nice sound to it.

Path by the river.

Yes, I know. I like to dream of warm days. And they are still a long way off. But we’re getting there. Each day brings us closer to spring. Not much closer, but closer. Last evening I was enjoying things, Muffin was curled up with me. She was curled up, not me. I do not curl up like that. It would be nice, but not physically possible. At least not for me. I would end up breaking something if I tried that. But I digress. I also forgot what I was going to say.

Oh, right, enjoying myself. Anyway, I feel something crawling on my leg, under my pants, and I do the automatic thing, I swat it. It squished. Rather a lot. It was obviously a spider. And not a small one either. It was a big spider. Sigh. Don’t you just hate when things like that happen? Then it’s internal juices start flowing down my leg, slowly though. I really did not want to look. But I had no choice. It was not pretty. So I will not say anything more.

Overlooking the river.

You probably did not want me to say this much. Neither did I, to be quite honest. It just kind of happened. Kind of ruined my nice evening too. Sigh. It is early again. Once again I beat the birds. But I am going shopping shortly so I needed an early start. It takes me an hour, sometimes 2, to get rid of the stiffness so I can start doing things, like going shopping. Well, thank you so much for stopping by, have a great Monday and God bless!

    • Hi Cindy! No, I’m way inland, about right in the middle of Canada in northern Ontario. A land of rocky hills, lakes and rivers and huge forests. Oddly, though there are places north of us, we are one of the coldest places in Canada with very long winters of 6 months or more. Today is quite nice with a temp of 10F but we are getting some freezing drizzle which is not good. There is already a layer of ice covering everything. A hug for Muffin given! God bless!πŸ˜€πŸ˜ΊπŸŒžβ˜•β˜•

      • Normally I would get more specific, but due to problems that arose last fall, with verbal abuse and including death threats, I don’t like to be specific on my blog. Not because of you, but others who may read the comment.
        My pleasure Cindy!
