Sunny Sunday. #11

Good morning everyone and Happy Sunday! Well, it is not so sunny this morning, although the sun still shines up there behind the clouds. So we can still call it Sunny Sunday anyway. And our flowers for today are nice and sunny too and that is a great way for starting off the week. My apologies to my readers in Europe and perhaps other places where their week begins on Monday, not Sunday like it does here.

Well, we had our time change last night, meaning moving our clocks ahead an hour for Daylight Savings time. I like that, it means longer evenings now, though for the moment it also means it stays darker in the morning a little bit later than it has been. But that will change quickly enough. Good thing we do move ahead or it would be getting daylight about 2:30am, which is a bit early. Then I would be getting up at 3am instead of 4!

A nice big peony.

Oh well. Some people like it, some people do not. I like it. I would like it to stay this way year round, but that is unlikely to happen. I was not even going to talk about this, how strange the way things happen sometimes. Speaking of strange things, no wait, I will talk about that later. If I remember. Which is unlikely to happen.

It is milder this morning and…we did get a bit more snow overnight. Not a lot though which is nice. I have not measured it yet to see how much we got. It is still dark out there and too early to go out and feed the birds. Speaking of birds, a lot of evening grosbeaks showed up yesterday! I counted over 100 of them, though I may have been off by one or two birds either way.

I got a picture of this daylily between summer showers.

There were at least 60 redpolls as well. Their numbers keep fluctuating as birds leave to head north, then more move in from other areas to replace them. They feed good for a few days, then head north too. That is typical for this time of the year. Sure went through a lot of sunflower seeds yesterday as well. But it was fun to see all those yellow birds out there. I wonder what it will be like today? Have a wonderful, sunny Sunday everyone and God bless!

    • I really don’t mind doing the time change twice a year. They keep talking about keeping just one time year round, if so I hope they keep the Daylight Savings time and not the Standard Time. Who wants daylight at 3am? Enjoy your week Simon!๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ปโ„๏ธโ„๏ธโ„๏ธโ˜•โ˜•๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒ™

  4. Here we will change the time on the twenty-seventh of March. And yes, it would be much better to start the new week on Sunday and not on Monday. Even if Monday is just a day like any other. I learned it from you!๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜ธ
