Coffee For Friday. #7
Good morning and Happy Friday everyone! Time for a late morning cup of coffee on the deck. It is beautiful out here this morning, the sun is shining so nicely and there is very little breeze. A perfect morning really. And perhaps a good day for a walk. I hope it stays that way. It would be nice to get that walk in finally. Theodora was out and about this morning, very early. She is our neighborhood friendly wild turkey. She seems to be staying on the other side of the street now.
She will not come over here anymore after being chased by the neighbors dog. Too bad really, I enjoyed her visits. The chipmunks have been busy this morning. Jasper was here too, briefly. He came to get a peanut right after I put them out, although Skamper was actually first at the feast. So when Jasper came up onto the step, Skamper jumped, probably thinking it was Jasmine. Jasper and Jasmine look alike. Anyway, when Skamper jumped straight up, so did Jasper! And they both ran to hide behind a box.
Both peeked out at the same time from different sides of the box. That is when Pocket arrived. Right behind Jasper. Poor Jasper. He jumped straight up again and ran behind the box. Skamper saw this and he ran behind the same box. Pocket was not quite sure what to do, he just sat there looking around to see what the danger was. However, Jasper and Skamper met behind the box and Skamper decided to try flying off the edge of the deck and Jasper turned and ran the opposite direction coming up right behind Pocket.
This caused Pocket to jump and he landed behind Jasper which caused Jasper to run in circles again and Pocket jumped off the deck just as Skitter arrived on the deck. Jasper and Skitter just sat staring at each other. But that was too much for Jasper so he ran as fast as he could to the end of the deck and jumped about 6 feet! Skitter turned to run back off the deck but Pocket came back right then and he began chasing Skitter. Skamper came back at that moment and joined in the fun.
They were getting so mixed up I do not think they knew who was chasing who. It ended that Skitter was chasing the other two, but then Pocket stopped, guess he realized something was wrong and he turned to chase Skitter. While they were doing that Skamper came and got his peanuts and left, so did Coffee and Choco. Finally Skitter gave up and Pocket came to get some peanuts. That is when Crunchy showed up and the fight was on! Crunchy and Pocket can really go at it. But Pocket had 2 peanuts so he left and Crunchy filled up.
Then Skitter finally got his peanuts and Choco came back, but Skitter is tougher than Choco so the chase was on again, even with two peanuts in his mouth. But Choco finally came back and I put some sunflower seeds out for him. Since no one in town has peanuts right now I am supplementing the peanuts with sunflower seeds to make them last longer. The chipmunks and squirrels are happy with this arrangement too. Sounds like they are having “fun” out there again! Thank you all for joining us today, have a great Friday and God bless!

For one thing it’s against the law to feed bears. It is also a large, strong and dangerous animal, even though they might look friendly and cute.😬😮🐻

Good alternative to keep up their appetite 🙂. Well that’s bad, the dogs must have scared too much. Poor Theodora. You should try getting a suggestion from detective muffin 🧁 to help on this chase part. She must have some plans. Right muffin? 🧁 oops 😻. Don’t bite Steve’s foot, no i did not recommend that to ask you chase the dog. But Steve got better plans Muffin. Isn’t it uncle Steve ☺️hope you are not entertaining muffin 🤪 Lovely activities of little critters, skitter seems to have more stamina and bigger mouth it seems 🙂 Have a lovely Friday 💝

He is eating sunflower seeds from the feeder he smashed to pieces back in early June. Sigh. It is not a recent pic. Have a good night too!😬🐻😮😊😻🌜😴😴
