The Investigators, Inc. Mystery Of Avina. Chapter 7. Flying House.

“I have an idea,” said Annelie. “Let me hear it,” said Baldwin, “although your ideas always seem to cost me money.” “Very funny,” said Annelie, “but I was thinking, they still have 7 people to get and only 16 days to do it. And since they have a lot of air travel time, they will never make it. Unless, they just live on the jet, then they would just need to drop off the prisoners and be on their way again.

We could have fresh food waiting for them and clothes and they would not have to waste time like they are doing now. Unless they have to drop off some wounded, and hopefully they will not have to do that.” “They have to do that this time,” said Baldwin, “both Jennifer and Steve are wounded, plus that other woman they took out. But I do like your idea this time, we will do that. And Chung, I want you to go along this time, we will keep Mriya here.”

“Why, do you not think that Mriya is a good enough doctor?”, asked Annelie. “She is a great doctor,” said Baldwin, “but Steve might listen to Chung.” “Oh, I see your point, and I agree with you on that one,” she said. “Thank you,” said Baldwin. “I will get packed right away,” said Chung. Baldwin’s men took him to the clinic to get whatever he needed.

Meanwhile, back to us as we travel home. I woke up in bed with a very sore head and shoulder. “What happened?”, I asked Kat. “You were taking chances again Steve,” she said, “and that has to stop or you will be staying home if I have to have Rock keep you there!” “Yes, I guess you are right,” I said slowly, “how much further?” “Only about half and hour,” she said, “the bullet is out of your shoulder, no real damage done to your head either. But we are running out of time so we need to make some changes.”

Then she told me Annelie’s plan which I thought was a great idea, that will cut a lot of time. Next prison is the one in Thailand, it will likely be the hardest one yet. And more bad news, the prison in Germany has refused to cooperate and now they know we are coming, but, they do not know who we want. They thought this would be a good chance to check their security which they say is the best around. I think they might be right about that.

We do have a map of the prison and everything about it, plus we know the cell of our prisoner, they do not, that gives us a bit of an advantage, though not much. We made our stop to drop off our prisoner, and Cassie, Jennifer’s roommate at the prison. Jenny was okay to travel with us still, though we might not use her on this next prison. We also picked up the cats. Then on our way to Thailand.

We had to stop at the main airport first for a customs check, then we flew to Baldwin’s sprawling complex which had it’s own runways for his jets. It will be another night job so we had 4 hours to plan. We decided to only go as a small group this time, the remainder will stay behind to help us out if needed. “I will take Rock, Bellamy, Carine, Sigurbjorn, Kristina, and Sovia,” I said, “Kat will be in charge if anything goes wrong with us.”

We will also take 2 of Baldwin’s men along. It will be much the same as the last prison, Bellamy and Sovia will cut all power to the place to hopefully give us one hour to get in and out again. The helicopters will have to drop us in which is quick, but picking us up later will take more time, that is where it will get tricky. “Why not follow this stream here when you get out and go to this park,” suggested Benson, “we could pick you up there and blow this bridge so no one from the prison could follow us.

Faster than the helicopters trying to pick you up one by one.” “Good idea,” I said, “we will do that.” Soon we were on our way and arrived at our destination just before 1am. I contacted Kat to let her know we were in position. We had the cats with us this time too, except Storm who stayed with Angel. Suddenly the prison went dark and we were shooting our rope ladders over the wall. At the top we spotted 2 guards and we shot them with our dart guns.

We headed to the building holding the women prisoners that we wanted and again shot ladders up to the 3rd story corridor window. We had something new from Baldwin that quickly burned through those iron bars and the window was just ordinary glass so we smashed our way in. There were 2 guards that came out but, “Thwock!, Thwock!” and they were down.

We then found the woman we wanted and blasted open the cell door. There were 3 women but we only took the one we wanted. Soon we were climbing down and heading to the wall. More guards spotted us and began shooting. They were too far for our dart guns so we used our real guns which made them scatter. We tried not to hit anyone and soon we were off into the trees and followed the stream to that park.

To Be Continued.

    • Yes indeed! Now hopefully we will have some easier ones, or, we might tackle the one last hard one in Germany next. But we are not quite out of danger in Thailand yet!๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿ˜ผ๐Ÿ˜ผ๐Ÿ˜ผ๐Ÿ•ต๏ธ
