Looking at Insects. #15 Flower Fly.
Good morning!
Today we have another flower fly to show, there are so many species of these flower flies and some are very hard to identify. This one however, is quite easy because of its unique markings. This is the “White-spotted Pond Fly”. It is about 5/8 of an inch (15mm) long so it is one of the larger flower flies. They are supposed to be a common flower fly but I have not seen too many of them. They can be found from mid May to the end of August in our area. Have a great day and God bless!

Great photo, we have different bugs here in New Zealand and I enjoy watching them – if it will ever stop raining that is??
