For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Hi everyone!
Well, something a bit different today, the “Green Lacewing”. I do not remember ever seeing this little insect until this year and now I have seen several of them. Perhaps I saw them years ago and just do not remember, but they are odd little insects so it is doubtful I would forget them. It is about half an inch (12mm) long and is green with clear wings with green veins. They can release a terrible smell if disturbed. They are good to have around a garden as they eat aphids in large numbers both as larvae and as adults. They are around from May to September in our area. Have a great Saturday and God bless!

Thanks Steve. We sometimes forget that many of the insects have a defined purpose in the chain of life. Hope you and Muffin are doing well.
