For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Good morning to all of you on this early Sunday morning!
I have shown some underside shots of mushrooms before, but this is a newer one from about a month ago while walking the path to the river. I always enjoy getting pics of underneath the mushroom, showing the “gills” and the sunlight shining through. It gives such a beautiful photo, even though a bit difficult to get since mushrooms are generally not very tall.
It does require lying flat on my stomach to get such a picture, this mushroom is only about 3 inches tall, but it was leaning just a bit which made it somewhat easier. The hardest part is getting up again afterward. I do not know the name of this mushroom, it is basically white, and the cap is about 3 and a half inches across. Have a beautiful Sunday and God bless!

I think that mushrooms that look pretty are dangerous to eat…just my opinion π€ Edible or not I would end up in the hospital should I eat one ! …enjoy the day and whatever comes our way ! ππ»π―πβοΈβοΈ

This is a plain mushroom and likely edible. Yes, the most beautiful are often poison, though not always. And some plain mushrooms can be deadly. We have some in both categories. I love eating mushrooms, fried in margarine they are a great snack! ππ»ππ·ππ

After heavy torrential rains some mushrooms had grown in an old wooden log, but couldn’t survive longer as it was the bed of one of our visiting cats πΊπΉ

Good place for the cat to sleep! Yes, mushrooms grow quickly after rain, just overnight they can pop up! ππ»ππ·π

The bottom of mushroom is quiet attractive. There is a theory where Mushrooms were big as 2 floor building during ancient times. Not sure of the age, must be π€ no humans age I think π. Mushroom are another living thing on earth that exists before human, right? π€ Alright, I’ll put the guesses to you. π

Yes, I would say that mushrooms were here before humans. ππ΅I have never heard of mushrooms being that big though, but perhaps they could have been. π€The biggest I have seen though was about 14 inches across, π―πthat was before I had a camera. Too bad, it would have been a great photo! ππ·ππ

Actually earth was covered by giant mushrooms before trees. Some fossils found somewhere in Africa is done researched. Giant fungus kind 24 feet tall giant mushroom were there due to the Oxygen and carbon dioxide level was somewhere higher. It’s a little study I watched a video like years ago. 14 inches big mushroom are hard to find, wish u could find now to share to the world. Mushrooms are very old π
