For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Good morning to all of you on this snowy Wednesday! Well, we did not get all the snow they had forecast for us, which was up to 6 inches (15cm). There was only 3 inches (7.5cm) of snow out there this morning when I first went out to feed the birds. It has been snowing lightly since then however, so we might end up with another inch (2.5cm) of snow yet.
A good day to stay inside, look at summer pictures and dream of warmer days ahead. We will get some I am sure. When we will get those warm days is the big question. But they will come. The birds are very busy this morning, there are a large number of evening grosbeaks out here, mostly females right now. About 8 females to every male, which is a bit unusual.
Here is a Black-capped Chickadee, looking at me.
Do you ever have dreams? I know, that is a silly question since everyone dreams. But I mean realistic dreams that you can remember well. I had some dreams last night, which is normal for me, but one was quite long, well, it seemed to be anyway. And it was amazingly realistic. But I can also remember everything in that dream from beginning to end. That does not happen too often with me, so that makes it a bit strange. Not to worry, I am not going to bore you with the dream. Oh well.
And a Boreal Chickadee looking at me.
Perhaps it is because I have been going over different stories from the past that I can share on Fridays. I might start sharing some on another day as well. But these will only be until spring is finally here and I can get out more. I notice that a lot of people do this “Wordless Wednesday” post idea now. And mine is “Wednesday Words”.
Guess that makes me a rebel. Actually I did not even think about that when I came up with the new title at the beginning of the year. Oh well. Wow, there certainly is a lot of birds out there this morning. Quite a few purple finches have been added to the group now too.
And a Red-breasted Nuthatch, also looking at me.
Plus all the redpolls, chickadees and nuthatches. Oh, and the blue jays and woodpeckers. I think the grosbeaks need more food. And I see the snow has stopped now which is nice. So, off I go to feed everyone. Have a wonderful day, thank you for visiting, and God bless!
Steve and Muffin.

Yep more snow, 4 inches of it (10cm) And the driveway was solid ice from one end to the other, now it’s covered with snow. I slipped and fell twice today already because of that.π²π€ But I had to carry my garbage to the street for pickup today. Sigh.π It is sunny today and I had some fun with my birds on the deck this morning. A bit chilly, but not too bad, it was -8C so that is okay for bare hands,βπ·π though only for about an hour. Thanks Simon, have a nice evening!ππ»πβοΈβοΈ How’s the family?π€
