We were back home again, though all of us were in the hospital, except for the cats and Mac. Even Bridgette collapsed from exhaustion and stress so Saranna said she had to stay for a while too in order for her to get the rest she needed. But Saranna praised her for all she did for us. If not for her several of the team would have died. Tracy, Aasta and John were wounded the worst of everyone, plus one of Ralph’s friends.

All four of them will be in the hospital for quite some time. Only Ralph worked for the Major, the other 3 were just friends of Ralph who volunteered to come along and help out. We will pay them well for that help. Two of them are married and have kids. The single friend has asked about joining our team. Tamara and Carrie will be joining and have been voted in already for showing their bravery and willingness to stay and help protect me when they could have run away.

They still need to go through our training program. There is one other problem that we will have to deal with once I am well enough to travel again, but we will talk about that part later. Right now I am still lying in bed at the hospital, where I have been the last 2 days, in what appears to be a coma. During this time I have dreamt a good deal, mainly about Sky, Crystal, Kristina and Sigurbjorn.

I can understand why I have been dreaming about Sky, but I am not quite sure why I have been dreaming about the 3 girls. Oh yes, I have also dreamt about Galyna, which seems really odd. Plus, my last few dreams have been about one other person, and that is, Kat. But I do not remember anything about Kat, except what others have told me, and the video of our wedding that I watched and it meant nothing to me. But I did not dream about any of that.

I did dream about Kat and I finding this very old log cabin, we stayed there one night and found a lot of gold hidden beneath that cabin. We were going to build a replica of the cabin next to our old chateau. There were other such dreams about little oddities like that and they seemed so real, but obviously they could not be since I remember nothing about our time together even though we were married for 2 years. In the last dream I saw Kat standing close to me, holding my hand.

“You must try hard to live Steve, the whole team needs you,” she said, “Sky needs you especially. Muffin needs you. And I need you as well Steve. Fight hard. Do it for me, please.” Shortly after this last dream I opened my eyes. Sky was standing next to me holding my hand, and smiling. She called Saranna right away and she came running to my room, along with Li Jing and Marlene. Later Rock and Annelie came to stay with me for a while so Sky could go and get some rest.

I told them about my dreams concerning Kat. “Those were no dreams Steve,” said Rock, “those things really did happen.” “Yes,” said Annelie, “that means your memories are still locked away in your brain, we just need to find a way to unlock them.” We talked a bit more about Kat and other past events, but nothing seemed to trigger anything to help me remember. They left after a while, but Muffin and MC were with me.

“I knew you could do it Steve,” she said, “thank you. I am sure that one day you will remember.” “Now how did you sneak in here Sky,” I said, looking toward the door. But Sky was not there. Meow,meow!=It not human Sky, it human Kat ghost! Meow!=Yep, now me believe ghosts too! “Will you two stop that,” I said, “I have told you so many times now, there are no ghosts.”

Meow,meow?=Then who do talking? Walls maybe? “Very funny Muffin,” I said, “but it was not a voice, just something in my head.” Meow?=If it in your head, why we hear it too? “You heard the voice too?” I asked MC. Meow?=Did not I not just say that? You trying to make us scared maybe? You learn how to be venting twister now?

“No, I am not a ventriloquist now,” I said, “but there is a logical explanation for this.” Meow,meow.=Good, you explain logical explanation so we know too. “Well, I cannot right now,” I said, “but I will, one day.” Meow?=What day is ‘one day’? You always say ‘one day’ but it never become ‘one day’. “Very funny,” I said, “we will ask Galyna, she can explain it to us.”

Meow,meow.=Human Galyna very nice human people, but she use words we never can not understand. “She does use some rather big words at times,” I admitted, “but I will translate it for you.” It is so good to be back home again, in our chateau now. It has been 6 weeks since our failed honeymoon and everyone is back to good health, except for my memory, which still is not working. I guess it will never come back. Too bad really. But otherwise things are back to normal, and that is nice…

    • Hmm, you noticed that did you? Well, it was up to Galyna to explain it all to us, but it has been rather busy around here so we haven’t had a chance to ask her yet. But one day I will do that. Still, everything is going well and maybe one day we will find a way to unlock my memories. Obviously they are still there, they have not been erased. We shall see.🤔👩😺😺😺😺😺🕵️‍♂️

      • Yep! Sorta like recovering lost data on a computer hard drive. You can reformat it but the information is still there and can be recovered with lots of work!😉😁

      • Yep, I’m sure it will take a lot of work to regain my memory. Or, it might just take something to trigger it and it will all come back suddenly. Or not at all. Whichever. Hopefully I will remember to ask Galyna about that voice thing. Before the cats drive me crazy as well.🤔👩😼😼🕵️‍♂️

      • I sure hope so. But remember, she has been hearing voices lately, that’s not a good sign. It means too much stress is working on her.🤔👩🕵️‍♂️

      • Oh, right, but that’s different, my brain is different now and with my memory shot, then it makes sense I would maybe hear voices that are not real.🤔👩🙀🙀🕵️‍♂️

      • But the cats heard it also at the same time as you!🤔🤨 Unless this is all some hallucination that the cats and Sky are all a part of?🤔🤫

      • But why would Sky and the cats be hallucinating and it doesn’t affect the rest of us? That one minor point with me not including.🤔👩🙀🙀🕵️‍♂️

      • Oh, you’re thinking that maybe I’m hallucinating and this is not really happening. That’s a scary thought since it has been 6 weeks now!😯👩🙀🙀🕵️‍♂️

      • You could actually, in reality, be in the cabin on the mountain still! You could be unconscious, and all that’s happened has all been in your mind, and you don’t realize it!🫣🤫😲😳

      • That would be a long time! That means all this has not happened in our last case! And it means that Carnival is still around! And it means that Tamara and Carrie are not even real! And it means that Brandish is still free and doing his dirty work! That is all a terrible thought!😯👩🙀🙀🕵️‍♂️Interesting though.

      • Well, not if Brandish was just a character along with his group of players in your hallucination. They wouldn’t be real! It is a rather interesting scenario 🤔 though… Only time will prove that to be true, though. 🤔🤔

      • Oh yeah, that’s right, he wasn’t there before. But this would be quite the hallucination and so real that I could invent such real new characters like that. Now if I woke up I would be terribly scared and not know who to trust!😯👩🙀🙀🕵️‍♂️

      • That would be true! You might actually think you’re being held in the cabin by the girls… But we know that wouldn’t be the case. But you wouldn’t!

      • Yes, I would be very confused trying to figure out what is real and what is not! That might make me lose my mind completely and end up killing myself!😯👩🙀🙀🕵️‍♂️

      • That is one possible outcome! But it could just be speculation on my part as I don’t know what is about to happen next in the story. For all I know, all of what happened is real, and you are just recovering in the hospital, and Sky is just stressed from all that’s happened on the honeymoon ✨️ 😁😊😉

      • Yep, that is true. Maybe the cats and I never heard a voice at all, maybe it was just another dream of mine. And with Sky it is easily explained by too much stress with all that happened and me nearly dying. Or, perhaps someone outside is messing with our minds with some kind of machine that sends out thoughts through the air into our minds making us think we hear voices which would make other people think we are going crazy.🤔👩🙀🙀🕵️‍♂️

      • That is also a very intriguing scenario 🤔 Toledo would certainly take great delight in doing that and making you foolish!🤔😒🤨

      • Yes, so many possibilities! Somehow I think that Toledo is a good suspect in this, he always has “great” ideas for us! And he might enjoy doing this more than actually killing us!🤔👩🕵️‍♂️

  2. it seems like someone is messing with the airways so you will think you are going crazy. Sky, the cats and you are all hearing the same thing. In the last case was it ever established who caused the ringing and by what means? Or was it the thieves? Toldeo is my prime suspect. Hearing voices can demoralize many. Someone is doing manipulation!

    • Yes, the thieves had something that produced that ringing which hypnotized the people. Tamara and Carrie knew about it, but not how it works. Something that Brandish invented no doubt. Might have to ask the girls more about it if these problems persist. But it is now 6 weeks and there hasn’t been any other voices heard. Perhaps it was just a leftover effect from that hypnotic ringing sound. Still, it is kind of interesting. We will soon be going after Toledo, so if he is behind this, we might come across more of it. First however is Carrie’s family. By then Tamara and Carrie will have new identities.🤔👩😼😼🕵️‍♂️

  3. Another unexpected ending ! 😳 It is a relief that your team was not killed off ! Anticipating your next adventure ! 😬 rest while you can ! 😴

    • Yes indeed, something is happening, but what is it? But everyone seems to be doing okay again now. Rest helps a lot to clear up some stress related problems. Yes, another adventure coming soon.🤔👩😼😼🕵️‍♂️
