Nature’s Bountiful Beauty! #17

Good morning everyone! Well, today we have an unusual mushroom called “Gem-studded Puffball”. It is about the size of a golf ball and covered, as you can see, with these little spikes and bumps. It is quite odd to see these little “golf balls” all over the ground under the pines, sometimes with a fat, short stem, other times they basically sit on the pine needles. Have a great day everyone and God bless!

    • Yes they are, when young, but as they age they can look much like a deadly Amanita, so it would be best to test it first to make sure which kind it is. Always best to have a knowledgeable person with you until a person is familiar with what is good and what is not.
