The Investigators, Inc. The Case of the Mysterious Castle. Chapter 12. Oh, Oh.

While John and Anne were gloating over the massive treasure that was going to make them super wealthy, the rest of us were getting ready for part 2 with Fiona. “Have you got her sprinkled with that glow dust?” I asked Crystal. “Yep, but look at us!” she exclaimed, “even after a shower that dust is still in our hair.” “Yes,” said Sky, “I thought Mr. B. said this would wash off easily.”

“Well, it did wash off your skin easily it seems,” I said chuckling. “Thanks,” said Sky giving me that “look’ that she is famous for, a rather dangerous look too. Tracy is all set to look like Fiona, they are not exactly twins, but with that glow dust on she looks close enough like Fiona. And she will be scared, so I am sure any little difference will not be noticed by Fiona anyway.

“Okay, get going, and Aasta, start with some bugs, then the rats,” I said, “then the ghost of Fiona can enter.” “I am glad that Crystal and Aasta will be there too,” said Tracy, “it is kinda scary down there in the dark.” “Not to worry, I will be down shortly too,” I said chuckling again. Off they went to begin their fun. Hopefully Fiona will not faint too soon, I really would like to get some information from her. After a few minutes Kyan, Cinnamon, and Kristina came into the room.

They had been searching Fiona’s room for anything that might help us. “You might have to apologize to Fiona, Steve,” said Kristina, “look what we found.” I looked over some documents and various ID that they showed me. “Hmm, this does change things a little bit,” I said. I then called Annelie. “Are you awake yet?” I asked her. “I am now,” she said sleepily, “do you people not sleep over there?

You had me up late and now I am up just 2 hours later. I need sleep you know.” “Sorry Annelie,” I said, “but we have not slept at all yet. I need your fantastic abilities to discover the truth.” “Forget the compliments,” she said, “what do you need?” “I am sending you some pics of ID, licenses, and a couple other things,” I said, “I need you to check and see if they are real or not.”

“Okay, give me a couple minutes,” she said yawning. It was more like 10 minutes, but I had sent a couple of the girls down to let the others know I would be late getting there and to stop there ghostly fun. “Well, it all adds up to reality Steve,” said Annelie, “she does have a license to carry that gun and another one too. She is a real PI, she started her own PI business about 15 months ago and it appears from her records that this is her first job.

According to what I found on her computer, she was hired by a man named Toledo, posing as one Andrew, in order to keep an eye on Anne whom he did not trust, even though she is his girlfriend. He thought she just might grab the treasure and run at the first opportunity. No mention of our involvement, so perhaps he did not know about it ahead of time.”

“Yeah, I think Anne got us involved to give her protection until she could figure out a way to run off,” I said, “perhaps she was even planning to ask us to help her by killing Toledo because he was chasing her, or whatever.” “Where is she now?” asked Annelie. “She, John and Rock are presently enjoying themselves with the treasure and figuring out their plan for going to live in some tropical island paradise happily ever after.”

“That woman better not get any ideas about Rock or I will tear her apart, and Rock too!” she exclaimed. I chuckled at the thought. Rock, who is 6 foot 7 inches tall and weighs 360 pounds of solid muscle, being torn apart by Annelie. That would be worth watching. She could do it too! I then got a call from John. “Anne went back inside, she said there was something she did not want to leave behind,” he said.

“Jim!” I exclaimed. We went running down to their bedroom on the main floor. “Anne, you cannot just kill me in cold blood,” he said shaking, “I, I am your husband.” “Stop being so pitiful,” she said and she pulled the trigger just as we entered the bedroom.

Sky quickly kicked the gun from her hand, then kicked her hard knocking her to the floor. Kristina put our new handcuffs on her right away and sat her on a chair. “Looks like you will be spending a long time in prison Anne,” I said. Marlene, our nurse, checked Jim, but he was already dead…

  1. She is not a nice person! And Fiona is PI?😳 Huh! Go figure! Maybe you should hire her?πŸ€” She’s already licensed! Save on training expenses and could start right away!πŸ€”
Poor Jim… he was a bit clueless πŸ™„ still he didn’t deserve to die.πŸ˜’ Now… what do you do? She will inherit the castle 🏰

    • Yes, Fiona might be a good addition to our team, I will certainly consider that option. Yes, Jim just didn’t understand his own wife. She had been using him all along to get what she wanted. That is what she was doing with Toledo also. All she cares about is Anne, no one else. Yes, she would inherit the castle and the treasure, but she will end up in prison for life. However, with the money she has now, she might be able to hire some good lawyers that would get her sentence reduced. That would be terrible. However, that would be if Jim actually owned the castle and right now there is no proof of that, so she would have no money to work with until that gets sorted out. And what happened to the real Andrew? He might be the real owner after all. Still questions that need answering.πŸ€”πŸ‘©πŸ˜ΌπŸ˜ΌπŸ˜ΌπŸ˜ΌπŸ‘»πŸ•΅οΈβ€β™‚οΈ

      • So, if Andrew is dead, and he was the real owner, then the whole property would go into probate, and no one would get it! 🀭🀭🀭 What a perfect way to thwart both Anne and Toledo!πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‰
You might need to make use of that counterfeiting equipment in the basement πŸ€” πŸ€πŸ€πŸ˜‰

      • Yes, quite an interesting thing for sure. Unless Andrew had some relatives, then they might want to fight over the family fortune for the next few years. But that is something for the police to determine anyway. Looks like our part in this might be over except that we are witnesses to Jim’s murder and will have to end up in court about that. Minor detail.πŸ€”πŸ‘©πŸ˜ΌπŸ‘»πŸ•΅οΈβ€β™‚οΈ

      • I have given up on vacations, although Sky has not and she would like us to try again. She figures that one of these times it should work out, the law of averages and all that. I am not convinced however.πŸ™„πŸ‘©πŸ˜ΌπŸ•΅οΈβ€β™‚οΈ

      • Yep, not one has ever worked out, even back with Kat it never worked! So sad. It would be nice to have a good relaxing vacation for once.πŸ€”πŸ‘©πŸ˜ΌπŸ•΅οΈβ€β™‚οΈ

      • Sometimes I don’t think much is on our side! Although recently we have been doing better than usual. So maybe it is a good time to try again.πŸ€”πŸ‘©πŸ˜ΌπŸ•΅οΈβ€β™‚οΈ

      • Now if only the others would understand that. I only make the decisions, but I’m not the boss. But maybe we can do it somehow.πŸ€”πŸ‘©πŸ˜ΌπŸ•΅οΈβ€β™‚οΈ

      • Somehow I doubt it. But maybe. Or not. I have this feeling though that something is about to happen again…πŸ˜²πŸ‘©πŸ•΅οΈβ€β™‚οΈ

  2. It appears that Fiona May be beneficial to the team πŸ€” , but I would be very careful around her…Glad Muffin is with you 😻 ❗️ She is well trained from the beginning ! 😻 , πŸ•΅οΈβ€β™‚οΈπŸ‘©πŸ‘©πŸ‘©β€πŸ¦³πŸ§’πŸ‘©β€πŸ¦±πŸ‘©β€πŸ¦°β—οΈ

    • Well, Fiona is new at the job, just like Muffin and I were at the beginning, but I’m sure she will learn quickly and be a good addition to our team. Muffin likes her, have to see what the other cats say now too. As always, the new trainees are watched carefully, we have a much better program in place now for training people. But she may not want to join us, we shall see.πŸ€”πŸ‘©πŸ˜ΌπŸ˜ΌπŸ˜ΌπŸ˜ΌπŸ‘»πŸ•΅οΈβ€β™‚οΈ

  3. Well, this chapter certainly had much action. Fiona, a PI, but is she really a good one? It doesn’t look like it. Anne, showed the treasure but still killed Andrew, in front of witnesses. Hard to get off lightly, even with good attorneys, due to all the evidence against her. Toledo is somewhere but not nearby. What did he really want in this whole thing???

    • Well, Fiona is new at the job, and she did do what she was hired to do, watch Anne so she did not run away with the treasure. We were a bit hard on her in the dungeon. She just needs better training and a good team to work with. But she may not want to join us after all this anyway. Yes, I think Anne will be spending life in prison and she thought it would be a life of luxury. What did Toledo want? Us, or the treasure? Probably the treasure this time. But we may find out more in the next chapter.πŸ€”πŸ‘©πŸ˜ΌπŸ˜ΌπŸ˜ΌπŸ˜ΌπŸ‘»πŸ•΅οΈβ€β™‚οΈ
