For a smile as wide as a country sunrise

Hello once again to all of you! Well, another new series begins today. It will not always be butterflies, or other insects for that matter, however, butterflies will show up now and then. Today it is the Milbert’s Tortoiseshell butterfly, which is quite common in our area, and a very beautiful, brightly colored butterfly. There seem to be more than normal around this year, like some of our other butterflies. Have a great Sunday everyone and God bless!

A beautiful butterfly and having it rest on a flower is charming.

Yes, these are nice and bright and they sit more than most butterflies.

The colors are so appreciated after a long winter. We have many insects but the mosquito out numbers them all. Makes the birds happy.

This is one of the worst summers for mosquitoes in a long time. Usually I can sit on the deck until dark before they come out, but this year they are out all day. I imagine the path to the river would be terrible with mosquitoes this summer!😲🙀

Yes, you need special mosquito netting jackets etc. when there are clouds of them.
