Tuesday’s Chats. #1

Good morning everyone! Time to grab a coffee and join me for a chat this morning. It is a nice morning, though cloudy and cooler than it has been. However, the sun is trying to shine again and it is pleasant sitting on the deck with my coffee.

The chipmunks are busy running around, chasing each other, filling their cheeks with peanuts and running off back home quickly so they can come back for more before the peanuts are all gone. And before Mica the squirrel shows up. He does not usually come too early which is good for the chipmunks.

I put out some food for Sir Henry (the herring gull) this morning and then noticed that Pocket (the chipmunk) was running around my feet looking for peanuts. I held the cup of peanuts for him and he quickly filled each cheek, then one in his teeth and off he went. Coffee was next to show up, then GPS, and by then Pocket was back for more.

Pocket and Coffee live not far away, so they get back quickly. Poor Skamper and GPS, and Scooter, live farther away, but they run fast so they can get back for more peanuts before they are all gone. A cup of peanuts does not last long usually. But they do not come all day long like other years, so I am giving out fewer peanuts than normal.

That is good, I should have enough to last the summer. Maybe. Depends on how many baby chipmunks show up this year. There is always one or two, and one year there were three of them. Yesterday after shopping we stopped at one of our small parks so I could get pics of flowers.

They had some nice flowers displayed this year, as they always do in this little park. It is the most popular outdoor place for wedding photos in our town. I am sharing some photos of the bay area of town. There are some nice benches to sit on in this park that overlook the bay.

It is a very beautiful here and a great place to relax for a while. I will look at this park again in the near future. Hmm, it is still cloudy and yet the forecast was for a sunny day. Oh well. I hope you all have a wonderful day and God bless!
