Good morning on this rainy Thursday! Well, it is not too rainy yet, but we did get a couple of light showers already. Aside from all the traffic outside there is not much happens around here. This morning as I sat here watching the morning wake up, enjoying my cup of coffee, there was a crow noisily calling to another crow. I did see a ring-billed gull flying past as well.
That was it for birds so far. No other animals so far. There was someone out walking their dog earlier. There is a lady 2 doors down from me that has a dog. A rather large dog. The dog does not seem to like me, or anyone else for that matter. The lady has a hard time holding the dog back when people show up. And it barks rather loud.

She keeps saying that the dog is friendly. Guess that is why he shows his teeth like that. Okay, I am being a bit sarcastic there. But really, what would happen if the dog got loose? He does not look like he would come racing over to lick me. More likely he would try to take my arm off. Sigh.
Others have noticed this too, it is not just me. The joys of apartment living. Well, just 9 more boxes to go. Considering there were 80 boxes, things are going quite well. However, things are not exactly where they should be yet. It will take a bit more time to get things sorted out and put in their place. But it will happen.
Looking further back and going up a small hill.
Muffin was up early this morning. At 3am early. Not just for a snack either. She wanted to stay up. And she wanted me to stay up too. I did not want to get up that early. I kept telling her that. But she did not quite get the message. But I was not giving in this time. Not a chance. I decided to show her who is the boss around here. Yep.
It is amazing how much a person can get done getting up at 3am. A refreshing time of day really. Sigh. Hmm, looks like someone down the street is moving. Can see a lot from up here in the heights. Well, time for more coffee and more unpacking. I hope you all have a wonderful day and God bless!

Hmm. I guess the decision to get up and start working at 3 a.m. was entirely your own. Maybe Muffin decided that since you made the decision to move, she should get a say in when It was time to get up. Glad you are getting settled in. Moving is heard.

Hi Pearl! Well, I think perhaps I had some help in that decision. Sigh. Yep, this move was certainly hard on me, healthwise anyway. However, it is a nice place and we both enjoy it, even if Muffin is still scared by some of the strange noises.😊😺☕☕

Witnessing Muffin up at 3 a.m. reminds me of when my wife and I were unpacking after a move. We decided to work well past midnight while our daughter was sleeping. We weren’t quite ready to enjoy her energy when she woke up in the morning.

Yep, that can be a problem. Now Muffin has been sleeping most of the day so guess who will be awake early again?🙄😹

You really do have a nice view from your balcony, Steve. And wow! 3:00AM is super early!! I’m guessing you are having super productive days waking up so early in the morning. Nothing beats watching the sun rise. I’m sure Muffin would agree #meow

Well, the only thing I saw rising today was me since it was cloudy. However, I am not getting up this early every day, this was the only day this early. Getting up so early kind of ruins any chance of being too productive though. But today I did do well and got a lot accomplished. Muffin slept nearly the whole day.🙄😺💤💤 I was thinking of waking her up, but that can be dangerous.😬😼

That would be hard to get up that early ! 🤭 Unless it was an emergency ! 😬. I guess Muffin is an emergency ! 😍😻❗️

Yep, when Muffin wants to get up then she wants me up too and she always knows how to do it!🙄😹😂
