For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
MAPLE IN RED
Beautiful tree, grown wide and tall,
Though you started your life so small.
On your branches, thousands of leaves,
Waiting for fall, suddenly freeze.
Giving a show, for all to see,
Leaves holding tight, though some break free.
Beauty you give, to those around,
Covering you, then on the ground.
Beautiful tree, all draped in red,
Dropping leaves, for winter instead.

The red beauty of the maple tree does herald the fast approaching winter. Well done!
