For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Good morning to all of you on this cloudy and cool day. Okay, it is officially afternoon, but I like mornings as you know. We had such a beautiful sunrise this morning, the best I have seen in a long time. And living up here I could get wonderful pics of the sunrise without anything getting in the way. Right. Except for the security netting across the front of the balcony.
So all I could see were these squares across the picture. Not very delightful. So I went back inside and tried out the window. But the best part of the sunrise was further to the left of the picture. But I did get part of it anyway. I am tempted to cut a hole in that security netting. Just big enough to stick the lens of my camera through it.

Sunrise today, the best part is to the left of the pic, which I could not get through the window.
Just a slit in the netting would work and it would not be noticeable. Or hurt anything either. Hmm… Oh well. It does spoil all my possibilities for getting good pics from up here though. The window just does not work so good. I can clean the inside, but the outside is dirty. Sigh.

Made a slight change in the living room. This is part of my insulator collection.
There was a fire drill this morning, just before writing this actually. Whatever happened to those loud clanging bells once used as fire alarms? Now they use this high pitched whining whistle instead. It is very hard on the ears. Poor Muffin has a real hard time with it and she hides behind my chair. Next time I might join her. Oh well.

Some of the insulators from above pic. They do not show up too well here, but look nice in person.
On a different note, when I say “the other day”, it could mean anything from “yesterday” to “a month ago”. With that in mind, the other day I dropped something as I was going out and I bent down to pick it up. In doing so I whacked my head on the doorknob causing me to yell slightly and hold my head, causing me to back up and trip over some boxes that are sitting by the door waiting for someone to pick them up, causing me to fall backwards onto the cement floor, causing me to hurt my back worse than I hurt my head, which was quite bad in itself, causing me to scare Muffin, who was sitting behind me ready to say goodbye, causing her to jump and run into the kitchen to hide.

Another change in the living room. This is my TV cabinet, made from pine. I also added caster wheels to it for easy moving.
Amazing how things happen sometimes. Sigh. It still hurts. How do I manage to do these things to myself? I do try to be careful, but I am not too successful sometimes. Sigh. We are supposed to get some rain later, and snow, perhaps a lot of snow, followed by colder weather.
Depending how the storm goes we could end up with just rain, or just snow, or something in between. We could end up with 15cm (6 inches) of snow. We shall see. I hope you all have a very nice day and God bless!

I have the impression that furniture on wheels can cause domestic accidents 🙄
Be careful, Steve! 😉

That depends on the furniture and type of wheels. With taller narrow furniture on wheels it is best to have 2 people move it still, unless there is nothing on the furniture. Wheels that are actually double wheels are best, they are more stable. And wheels are best on smooth surfaces like tile, vinyl flooring or wood, not as good on carpet. But I agree, I will be careful and will still get help to move things that are heavy.🤔
Thanks Rossana!😊😺☕☕❄️❄️

Beautiful colors! Maybe is not too wise to cut the security net though 😅
You still have a good insulator collection!
We all know that you like to do these things do yourself to make Muffin happy 😹😉

Thanks Ribana! Yes, I guess I will leave the security net, for now anyway, but…🤔🙄
I have about 200 insulators still, all different, but I plan to reduce that number soon.😊
Yes, Muffin does enjoy these little events and gets a good chuckle out of them.😹🙄

I thought that living here might reduce these mishaps, but they seem to have followed me. Sigh.🙄🙀❄️❄️

Your insulator collection is really interesting. Bummer about hurting yourself some more. (What would your dad say, lol?😁)

That sunrise is magnificient. That is quite the collection and so many different shades. I do love those insulators. In my childhood, we were using sone clear transparent one as doorstoppers. That incident sounds like quite the misfortune and very painful. Please be careful and take care !

Thank you so much! I wish I could have shown that sunrise at its best but that security netting just gets in the way. I actually have over 200 insulators at the moment, all different. Yes, it was painful but fortunately it wasn’t too bad really. Yes, I do need to be more careful, thank you!😊😺☕☕❄️❄️
